The most annoying thing about getting into my car every morning is how when I start up the car, I have to press the "i" button to get my Inst. MPG & Range displayed on the MFD. I would love it if I could have them on the screen automatically after I start the car. Has anyone figured out how to do this? Is it really obvious and I'm just missing something?

Oh, and of course I say "the most annoying thing", but it hardly changes the way I feel about my new 06 6mt RBP (?)...I LOVE it!! :wiggle:

Not sure what the solution is. Usually if you turn off your ignition while the MFD is displaying INST. MPG & RANGE, it should automatically show up again the next time you start your car. Unless your car requires service soon, then every time you start it... the service warning will come up first. That is so annoying.

when u suk in the keyand turn in to "ON" position , u should hear "bee bee bee bee bee ....." , u have to turn on the engin before the THIRD "bee" , then when u release yr e-brake, it should automatically display on the screen, the information should be same as the last time that before u turn off the car~~

Look around page 85 - 95 of your manual. Loads of info! :D

If you leave your lights on when turning off the car, the MID will not resume its display upon start-up.

and yes it's annoying.

sometimes the display comes on after a delay also after hitting cruise control.

alright...sorry to bring back an old thread. but I've got an MID related question and could not find anything after searching. I am trying to customize my MID settings and I followed the instructions per the Owner's Manual. It said to unlock the car using the transmitter and the MID should display "Welcome Drive 1". Mine only has "Welcome". I put my key in the ignition and set it to "ON (II)". I held onto the "i" button for 3 seconds but it would display a message that said driver not recognized, Cannot customize settings (or something along that line). Has anyone else experienced this problem? How do I fix it?

Your remote is unlinked. Hold down both the lock and unlock button until the light on your remote flashes. Once it's linked, your TSX will recognize whether it's the driver 1 remote or driver 2 remote.

And as for the OP (from long ago)...the MID doesn't turn on automatically, unless there's something on the screen that's there to grab your attention. For example, if you leave your door open as you turn the key, it might warn you that the key is still in the ignition (thinking you're leaving the car)...or if you do cruise control, the MID will display "cruise control" and then display the usual MID stuff
