Where is everyone? How come this part of the forum is so dead? I know you guys are out there.
I drove down to Seattle for Black Friday this year and I saw tons of TSX everywhere. Maybe like 5. I usually take like a few roadtrips down to Seattle, Portland and San Fran every year. It would be nice to meet some members from the US. I need suggestions in finding some good restaurants and places to shop. Start posting everyone!!!!

Don't believe the first person to reply is you. This is like a PW thread for us Vancouverites. Did you actually go rent the dune buggies? I heard that there is a pretty cool go-kart track too.

I heard about that place all the time but never had a chance to go try it. Definitely going to try it next time. The stuff at Paradise Bakery is so good too. The only thing I order from there is the ham and swiss croissant. :drool1:

Night life in Seattle and the surrounding areas are non-existant. If you don't watch football, baseball or basketball, you're screwed.

I actually when to Red Lobster the last time I was at Portland. I might want to try Outback Steakhouse next time.

Nike is close by, so potentially lots of running trails around... which are usable when it's not raining. Otherwise, it's a suburb of Portland. It really depends what stage of life you're at - if you're young without a family yet and work in the city, I'd get a high-rise condo in downtown Portland since that's where all the things to do are, but that's just my preference.
I've heard the housing market in the Portland area is dropping like a stone right now though, so do shop around.

Seems like the average housing rate is dropping in the US. Might not just be a Portland thing.

I mean you can buy now, and if the rates keep dropping, you refinance to get the lower rates.

I was checking out the prices around the Portland area. The prices really dropped a lot. It is better to buy than rent. Unless you do not have any intention to stay there long-term.
