StoneGrill just for fun of cooking on the stone... not worth the money IMO.

Gothams steak house is not participating in this years DineOut Vancouver 2007.

I went to Gothams last year... mmm... so good.

Aqua Riva is okay Imo, but i know people say it's good, the anchovies are some of the best thou!

StoneGrill I like becuz it's unique, but i get hook up cuz i know the owner ....need more salt! =P

This year i'm booked prime time 7pm at 8ppl each:
Bluewater Cafe (Prize winning restraunt)
Joe Forte's (One of the more expensive restraunts)
LIFT Bar and Grill (@ night, voted best environment and view even, with stanley park on the left and canada place on the right)
CinCin (where all the celeberties go, plus Truffles!! mmmm...)
Elixir (I heard elixir isn't that good, so i might give away my resevations).

But my favorite so far would have to be Shiru-Bay Chopsticks Cafe
I know people that refuse to eat raw beef, that will eat this as an exception. after this, all beef shashimi is junk when you compare it to this:

Kobe Beef Carpaccio

Thin slices of kobe beef slightly seared, served with fuji apples, shaved reggiano cheese & white truffle oil.

Sorry guys. Gothams participated in DINE OUT Vancouver for the last few years so I assumed they will again this year. I don't know... I still think it is still cheaper to buy the Entertainment Book instead.

For a website for food reviews for the 604 area, you guys should definitely check out www.tasteof604.com
I wrote a couple reviews there myself.

hahahha!!! It was all worth it though. They keep the butter warm and melted over a candle. The worst part is I pull out the lobster meat and then let the lobster meat sit and absorb the butter for a good minute or two and then eat it.

Had lunch at Burnaby Crystal mall. There is this Shanghai take-out place at the far end of the food court. Seriously, they make the best xiaolong bao or aka Shanghai Dumplings. This little old lady stands around the front counter and you can see her hand-make it. They actually use the bamboo steamers to steam the dumplings and each dumpling contains like a spoonful of soup. IMO, Shanghai Wing makes one of the best xiaolong bao but even Shanhai Wing's dumplings are no match to this place.
Price: $3.50 for 5 pieces
