Replaced Factory Leather Seat

I brought my car in for the 30,000 mile maintenance and I asked the dealer to check out the leather wearing on my driver's seat. He told me that it should not of done that and the dealer said they would replace the whole driver's seat cover, back and bottom under warranty. He is also replacing the light that illuminates the driver's side heated seats button. I was very impressed with the service that I received. The dealer is DCH Acura in Wappingers Falls, NY.

I brought my car in to fix the heated seat lights and they refused as it is the bulb and thats not under warrant.. wish i had a dealship like urs..

when we owned a 2003 elantra gt the dealer replaced the leather on both front seats (back and bottom) twice under warranty. when the rotors got warped they also replaced the brake pads for free- they also replaced the fog light bulbs free. The service advisor that I dealt with is now the service manager for Acura (the dealership sells hondas, acuras, hyundais and suzuki)I am sure I will get the same treatment with my acura (but hopefully not for the above-mentioned problems)I already know I will be getting free oil changes

If someone were to replace the leather on say a TSX (out of warranty) through the dealership, what would something like that cost?

Yeah, i understand where you are coming from. My seats are like an old person skin right now.

be prepared some of the dealers will try to tell you that the leather on the seats is a normal wear item, therefore not covered under the warranty.

man, i wish my dealership would do this... from my previous experience with them (mind you my pervious car was an integra and i have have been a customer of them for over 7 years), i doubt that they would do this for me. my driver side seat is terrible creasing on the right side, and i would love to resolve this. The car is a 06, with roughly 25K miles...

btw, the dealership is Radley Acura in Annandale/Falls Church VA. Terrible people to deal with, I was extremely dissapointed with them on my last visit.

i broke several clips on my front bumper when i installed my CAI, i took it in to DCH Acura of Temecula where i bought it and they replaced all the clips no questions asked for free. =)

I think a lot of you guys wear jeans like all the time thus causing more wear to the seat surfaces

my dealer said they'd only replace the leather 1 time under warranty so we chose to wait until we get closer to the end then we'll get them to replace it ;)

too bad recaro seats arent Air bag compatible with tsx, add 100 more and you have yourself a nice recaro seat of your choice :)

iv had no problems with my seats i use meguires every montha nd keep it conditioned and soft....and the tints help out a lot in the summer

I went to the dealership for the 48k service and complained about a creak on the deiver's seat back and while checking it they decided to replace the covers also, under warranty.

the back of the driver's seat on my 06 tsx was attacked by a sharp object attached to my husband's belt. I was lucky the dealer replaced the cover for free. While they were replacing the bottom cover they noticed the wiring for the heat was getting frayed. they fixed that also.

Umm..you guys do know the TSX seats aren't full leather right?

I believe on the seat back and seat area where your bum sits is leather, everything else is pleather.

Most manufacturers only use leather on the seating areas and vinyl everywhere else but at least we have some leather, BMW325 and Mercedes
C300 buyers only get leatherette on ALL surfaces.
