Hey Guys,
I am just too frustrated with the dealers down here in SoCal and decided to post this thread to seek some info from you guys.
I got a 06 TSX automatic transmission, very happy with the car (Not happy about the iPod compatiblity rip-off though, but oh well). When I first bought my car, I noticed a fairly load "clack" eveytime transmission shifted from 1st to 2nd gear. this espacially was noticable when I cold started my car in morning. at first I thought it is due to the car being new and things are not oiled up properly and will eventually go away. But guess what! after 4 month the problem still was there and got loader at times. I am almost confident that this problem is from torque converter and it makes the load clack when trying to lock the clutch.
I have taken my car to 101West Acura dealership (where I bought my tsx, worst dearship BTW) twice. first time they were going to replace the whole transmission untill the servece dept manager showed up and suggested to only flush the trani so the problem might go away! but IT DIDN'T. I took it to the same dealership again and this time they put 200 miles on my car and said they could not duplicate the problem (BS).
finally I decided to take it to Power Acura SouthBay and they kept my car for a 7days and then finally they said that they replaced the front axle and the problem has gone away! But guess what !! it's been 7 months, 3 dealership trial and the F@@ problem is still there and it just frustrates me!
Any of you guys had this problem before !? Is there any other place that I can take my complaint to? Or is it just a normal acura thing and I just have to get used to it ?
