So this is the third time someone did a hit and run on my car. Every single time my car was parked. Well today my car was parked in front of my house. A silver honda crv license plate begining w/ kh backed right into it and decided to take off. My neighbor saw it and that is all the info he got :(. Shitty day for me.

Sorry to hear about the unfortunate incident. I noticed that there are tons of stupid drivers out there.

^ Yeah I reported it to icbc. The damage actually looks real bad. The front driver side of my car is all crunched up. My neighbor was actually chasing down the crv (on foot) but the person still bolted.

If there was any significant damage to the CR-V, then it'll make things easy, since any repairs will show up on the cop's computers.

I hope you've reported the hit and run to the cops as well.

I don't think there will be significant damage to the Honda CRV as my neighbor said there doesn't appear to be any damage to the CRV. But again, the CRV took off quickly once it hit my car so it'll be likely hard to spot the damage.

Now that the paint is coming off my car I noticed it is beginning to develop rust due to the crappy Vancouver weather. I'm thinking of taking the car into Vieta autobody to have it repainted and fixed but the last time I took it in the paint job they did wasn't that great. Does anyone know of any good autobody shops in the Greater Vancouver Area?

Brought my car into icbc for an estimation today. There was a total of $1500 of damage done to my car. I thought it didn't even look that bad but according to icbc the fender, front bumper, and the HID headlamps have damage to it. The lady told me the probability of catching that particular person who did the hit and run with a partial plate is next to none but she'll attempt to find that person who is responsible for it.

$1,500 isn't that bad. My sideswipe cost around $1,700. So it's not too bad.

^ wow really.. what type of damage did they do your car?

My other 2 claims were also hit and runs but they were in the 500 dollar range only

Mine was:

- Front driver's side panel.
- Front driver's side door.
- Front fender.
- Two wheel replacements.
- Fit and finish.

At least you got two new wheels out of the deal but hopefully you weren't in the accident

I was driving, and a van was trying to change into my lane, crashing into my front driver's side, pushing me off the road.

Well, a year later and I'm still alive.

Luckily, the speeds were pretty low, so it was more shock than anything.

So I phoned in ak autoworks today and the lady over the phone didn't want my business.

I told her that I'll be taking in my car tomorrow for a hit and run claim and she told me icbc is not open during the weekend (tomorrow is Friday) so she won't be able to fix the car. Then I told her I already got the estimate to fix the car done. She then tells me that she won't be able to get me a courtesy car tomorrow so now I'll have to find a different shop to take in my car.

Good grief, and the shops here were pretty much fighting for my business.

Gotta love crappy customer service.

Seemingly lots of idiot drivers around these parts recently...

I recently had my TSX front end fixed up and I'll PM you the name of the shop. Hopefully you'll find the jerk that messed up your ride.

Got back my car from Mark's autobody today. They fixed the damage up and it looks like they fixed up most of the rattles that the Acura dealership couldn't fix. So now I pretty much have a rattle free car so that's a good thing that came out of this whole hit and run ordeal.

The insurance lady said she'll run a plate search and contact me if she finds anything. Since she didn't contact me I doubt she found anything so I just paid the deductible.

As good as new! And sounds like in your case, even better! Cheers.
