On my last three fill-ups, i noticed my mileage has dropped significantly.

On average, i'm getting 100km less per tank than what i typically get. I know we usually get poorer gas mileage during the cold season, but this year, it seems all so sudden. Any one in TO experiencing this??

I was noticing this too, been filling up way to much this winter (2x a week). tires are pumped to the right psi and alignment was fixed, so dont know whats wrong.

Same here. It's the freezing cold temperature. The engine takes more revs and time to warm up, hence the drastic increase in fuel consumption. The posted estimate fuel consumption is based on a perfect tested environment :)

I just did 460km and my low fuel light came on. Normally comes on about 550km or so.
So, no it's normal.

It should get better in the weeks to come (if temperature is gonna be warmer as they say).

check your tire pressure or get hondata! haha! I still able to get around 500km before the light come on.

Might want to try resetting your ECU (disconnect the battery for a minute). When the ECU re-learns everything it will compensate better for the new winter weather. I do this every summer/winter.

As for PSI, I don't recommend trying to pump up your tires too much to try and compensate. If anything in winter you want to run your PSI a bit lower for more traction.

Synthetic oil always helps too. Pour point is much better than dino oil in cold weather.

One of the worst tanks for me, ever.
Did 520km, fuel needle pointing down to almost the red zone, filled up 55L.
That is equal to 10.57L per 100km. I normally average 9L per 100km.

When the engine is so cold, the ECM will make the car to run fast idle therefore more gas is used. ;)

I typically get about 9.6l/100km in the summer and this winter I've been closer to 10.8, I'm blaming it on more idling (warming up the car). I've reset my TRIP B when cruising on the highway and it's in-line with normal summer consumption (7.1l/100km @ 110Km/h)

Same here, i m living in Quebec and for the past weeks we only got a max of -12C everyday and gas mileage drop a lot and i was wondering if it was the cold weather and yes that's the case. With my old Honda Accord 98 i was getting too mileage drop in the winter but not as significant as with my TSX.
