Under this extreme weather... all those Heated Hose does work well, but won't work nicely after you spray on the car. You need to be REALLY quick to dry off the car once you done washing, but I found that it's impossible. The best I can beat is to dry up the roof, all the windows, and probably dry either the front or rear but not both, not to mention the side. I keep my car half clean right now cause I don't want to go for AutoWash, but can't beat the freezing ice @ Coin wash.

Shell gas station at 7 & and kennedy...right beside the Mr Lube (or was it jiffy lube?) and MB. They have 2 car washes. 1 automatic one and the farther entrance is a pay by the minute one. It's heated and indoors.

So we bring our own supplies, and they would have the hose ready? Is the water pressurized? How many "bays" do they have?

It the same set up as a coin op wash..they have a high pressure hose thingie that you can select rinse, soap etc. Also a brush. Yes you can bring a bucket and your own soap and whatever...hand wash and dry..keep in mind your paying per minute of the time spent in the bay. When you drive in..you get a timecard from the machine. When your done..you bring the timecard to the cashier and he calculates the time spent and how much you owe.
A basic semi quick hand wash and rinse (no drying) can cost around $10.
Note: They do not have a low pressure setting so filling up a bucket with your own soap and water can be tricky. I usually use a sponge to prevent splash back but it doesn't foam up the soap much.

^ heated and self-serve?
I usually spent ~$20 over there (Kenndy & hwy7 Shell) & they are huge with more than 10 bays. Since they are so expensive so it won't be line up there. BTW, wasn't you married last Nov? and what car she got?

Drop by there tonight. Apparently, they close at 8, but the guy was nice enough and let me to a quick wash. It IS expensive. I paid $13.75, price to pay to keep my a$$ warm.

I go to the one on hwy 7 and vellymede..right across from the new ten rens...the shell..
anywho..they have bays, but its outdoors...in other words..u still get the cold, just not as much..its 2 bucks for 5 min.
They supply a power hose and brush that foam soap comes out of.
it usually takes me 10 mins..so 4 bucks total.
i do experience freezing though..so its gotta be pretty warm..its worth the price however.

Yup, that where I used to go, can't beat the 4 bucks wash! But I am too lazy now so I usually go to the Esso touchless wash @ Bayview & 16th or Bayview & Major Mac. Both are wash around your car instead of go through the track. And of course...I paid with my esso points! so no money out from my pocket! yes I am cheap ass! :wiggle:

Bring your own bucket and car soap, fill it up w/ their hot water from the pressure hose, andy wash it.
My last attempt, car soap frosted and I can't get any of it out. Temp on that day is -15C + windchill = -30. End up went to AutoWash @ Esso.

For those that live north of the cirt there's an Esso touchless railess car wash at Elgin Mills and Leslie. ON tuesdays they have 1/2 price special for the top of the line wash, Luxury wash. Reg price of $8.99 but now half price.
Grand total of $4.76 each after tax and no need to get gas. I brought a whole bunch as they can be used 90 days from the time of purchase. Try next tuesday and see if the promo is still on. It was for the past 2 tuesdays.
Once its a bit wamer out 0 degrees or so i plan on handwashing my car again. -10 C is not nice at all do to that LOL
