I just got in an accident today in a parking lot making a right turn. Hit a white car in the right front quarter pannel with my left front quarter pannel leaving my bumper, headlight, and quarter pannel in bad shape. In reaction to the accident i veered right and hit the curb which gave me a flat tire. Rims are in okay shape but the other parts look like they need to be replaced or some serious work done to them. Just looking for guidance with what i should do as far as parts etc.

-Do i need an entire new headlight, or is there just a housing available?
-Is it cheaper to order a non-oem bumper than a regular bumper?
-If you're in South Jersey, know of any good body shops that aren't too pricey?

No careless driving ticket, just an insurance raise coming most likely. No one was injured but my poor new car. 2006 w/ nav if that helps advice wise.

oouuuch man, sorry to hear about this!.. we will try to help you as much as possible! first of all, get a quote from whatever shop you goto, and try and find the lowest price (don't comprimise good repair quality). see the estimate.. and then compare it to what you can get aftermarket/used.

I'm guessing get an itemized quote so i can compare the prices for the parts between the body shop ordering through a dealer and online prices? Are there other front bumper options that may be cheaper, or around the same price that aren't oem? (ie. Euro R part or completely aftermarket?)

Dealers will obviously overcharge you like crazy for a OEM bumper.. more than an aftermarket one. Don't know about a smaller shop though. But the thing is, if you order a euro-r bumper from japan or something, you're gonna have to wait a while before it arrives..

I would think that aftermarket front bumper will not yet be availble for the 06 because of the differences with the 04-05. I wouldnt put aftermarket on a new acura anyway from experience. I worked at a shop for a year so I know how it can turn out, usually very poor fitment. The hundred dollar you save going aftermarket is not considerable when you just bought a 30 thousand car.. Trust me go with OEM and try to bargain with the shop as much as you can. Also you have to buy the whole headlight assembly, if you want to save a lil money buying that I recommand using the blackmarket here or going on ebay there are several used once considerably cheaper but again this is for the 04-05 headlights but I believe the headlights are the same

Yeah. The more common parts like headlights you will be able to pick up on ebay for relatively cheap. There are usually at least one that's listed:

They are also sold in pairs too.

And also, 06tsx just put a new bumper on. It's in the pictures thread:

Thanks a lot for all your help, just realized how much these Michelin tires cost! Hopefully the insurance company allows a reasonable quote and i can save some money by purchasing parts online to cover some of the raise i'm almost certain to get.

Are you going to go with OEM michellins? I do have one tire right now. I blew it with a nail but then got it fixed.. and then I changed wheels. Let me know if you are interested. I'll just give it to you for a small amount + shipping. Although, you probably can get a better deal just gettin it locally.

Yes definitely, i cheapest i found the oem michelins for was $156 shipped. We can definitely negotiate a price on your tire.

Are you sure you can't get the hole filled in for cheaper price.. and just switch to summers afterwards? The tire I have.. was filled in by the dealer and they didn't do a perfect job, so the air still leaks by very very small amounts. After 16,000 miles, I've only had to pump the tire once more than the rest, and no one found out about it because the dealer never told us they repaired it haha. If you don't mind this small air running, we can negotiate something. The tire has about 18,000 miles on it, and they've never had any tracking or extreme driving done on them.

I can probably do them for about $60 USD shipped.

I'll see if i can get it repaired first, never even thought about that. On another note, will these headlights fit a 2006 tsx?

http://www.tsxclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16265

I saw on ebay almost all of the headlights say 2004-06, so will these work for repairing mine? Don't want to run into fitment issues since he's shipping from Canada so i can't return really.

I am pretty sure they will fit. But keep in mind the 04-05 headlights look different than 06's.. so if you don't mind that then go ahead.

The colours should be the same.. but I think that the orange corners are smaller than that of a 2004-05
