noel i dont understand what your saying
that the papers tell your tsx redlines in fourth at 200?
that is far from possible.
from personal experience, when i was gassing my car for full speed, redlining every gear, at 5th gear i was going 190km/h at 5900 revs. it would not accelerate any more in 5th, i was confused. so i upshifted to 6th and gained to 220, from there on it was a gain of 1 km/h every 10 seconds or so, so i couldnt get it too high, it was taking too long.
the whole trip was with one heavy foot.
That wasn't a paper measurement, I do have an Injen CAI as well. Your tyre pressures are also important if you're constantly doing high speeds.

ummm try it again
i can redline in fourth all over the city. and im sure not goin that fast
your 4th gear goes higher than my 5th?
we own the same car?
Modifications do change how speeds are obtained. There are other variables of concern ala - Vehicle weight, road conditions, weather, temperature, engine oil type, spark plugs, fuel, modifications, etc.
It's no longer possible for me to replicate the same results. My speeds have now changed because I've got even more modifications than before. While I've yet to tested the differences. I have no doubt it'll be much quicker than before.

So far I have only had my Euro up to 150 kph, already got a speeding fine this month, not gonna push for another one yet :D I have got her up to 150 k's from 0 a couple of times, damn the Euro accelerates fast when you put the foot down, seriously, going uphill she still accelerated past traffic through the overtaking lane and by the time I hit the top of the hill I was going 150 ! Oh my Euro just passed 4000k's this weekend :)

having the escort 8500 also much helps in this process....

hit 225 km/h = 140 mph on the german autobahn some months ago.
was great but you need to have perfect driving conditions to do this, the car can go higher in 5th gear but I did not have the driving conditions to do that.
my car is Euro Accord Type S - 2.4 6MT stock.

hit right around 119 without much effort at all. suspension does not behave all that well at high speeds. certainly don't recommend trying it anywhere with traffic or turns.

mine is a euro accord - could be why it is up to 260km/h. anyhow, this car is NOT MADE to drive at these speed in its stock version - way to light in my opinion.
I drove it fast and legally on the German Autobahn...not where the speed limits is in effect.

Yeah the fastest I have got is 220kph in 5th. I wasn't game to change to 6th, it starts to float over 200kph. I have to wait for my coilovers before I will try again. I have gone to 200kph a few times just to prove to friends that it can do it. It gets there so easy.
I live in Western Australia, and have vast streches of wide open highway with no one around. The cops sometimes patrol but are rarely seen. Just perfect for blasting to redline.

Once it passed 1k mi, cruised at 100mph in short bursts (~5mi) as traffic permited from Chicago to K'Zoo along I-94.
Stable.
Sharp eye, staying to the right, Whistler Pro 58 helps with the fuzz.
My '97 CL with 2.2 150hp cruised at 115mph easy. Engine/Car was perfect at 110k. RIP. No doubt this car will cruise even better once the clear bra and mask go on.
I don't like to cruise above 85 w/o protection on the front bumper / hood.

i do that on a semi regular basis down i55 when i'm going to and from my parent's house. i have a severe speeding problem, and i don't know how i haven't gone to jail in the 6 years i've been driving. i've been blue lighted twice going over 100 mph, but the cop just kept going both times.
oddly enough, i am the most trusted driver within my little circle of friends. i do tend to speed a bit, but the general consensus is that i am very careful whilst i do it. :)
annnnnyway, i did 130.xx on my birthday, december 30th. it was not comfy at all. the thin band of rubber round my tires picked up every little bump, and even with the springs i felt like i was floating. one of my best friends from high school goes to west point, and he had a really nice gps unit with him. the speedo read around 135 - 136 when i was holding it fairly steady at 130. keep in mind that i have 19" wheels, so this may account for the large gap.
i'm about to play the stupid girl card so i don't have to figure this out myself but can still feel ok about asking. do bigger wheels make your speedo read higher or lower?

I've had 'a' TSX up to 200 kph here in Ontario. If caught that's a date with a corrupt judge.
Had a rented '04 BMW 530d (diesel) steady at 250 kph on the A7, A3, A9 autobahn, ect. in Germany.
Does top speed really matter in North America? Look at our BS speed limits here! (speeding tickets = money grab)

I know how you feel - I also used to live in Ontario and the 100KM/h on the 401 is just BS but...now I will live in Germany and already had a taste of the autobahn...the really nice thing I like is that you do not have that cop paranoia at all time. The car is fitted with winter tires so the handling in not good past 190KM/H. I hit 210 but it was a bit scary to say the least - especially that the autobahn is not of very good quality - feels like the 401 at times!. I stayed in 6th gear but the car was asking for more and would respond very well in 5th gear. Can't wait to have my normal tires back and no one of the road to see what the car can really do. my feeling is that it feels very light at above 210 and it may need a good upgrade in the handling department.
