So, who was late today? The drive wasn't as bad as I expected. The highway was fairly smooth, only the local roads around my neighbourhood were jammed.

you'll just get overcast and drizzle during your winters.
pretty depressing when i was there. i noticed that the sun always came up in the morning, up until, maybe, noon. the mornings were always nice.
the snow here is nothing. the media was hyping it up, acting like we were gonna get hit like buffalo/denver.

SO MUCH SNOW TODAY! Damn... alot more than we got anytime prior this year! I goto school and the soccer field was so damn deep .. and in some cases where the wind blew against some hill, the snow piled up to at least 50cm.. damn, my socks are wet.

Ya, esso's having fuel supply shortage as a result of the fire at their refinery. Won't return to normal till next week, but who knows...
I'm just sick of the way the other gas companies are gouging us, raising their price even though they were not affected.

Man...it's at least $0.10+ more then Toronto out here in Vancouver and we're right beside the oil fields. Today's regular price was $1.052.

Awesome here in Van. It felt so much like home (Toronto). We had probably around 5-10 cm of snow in east van/burnaby. It started saturday morning...I drove out..and was sliding all over the place. We back home after 2 minutes of driving, got my snow tires and got them changed over. Night and day difference from stock all seasons. I LOVE THE SNOW and especially diving in it. I was zipping past people who were going 20km/hr and sliding around. I saw a CRV take out an Integra 1 block from my place. I didn't see any BMW's or Mercedes out on the road exacpt for 1 ML hahaha.
Too bad now it's raining, suppose ot be 100-150mm of rain for the next 2 days.
I hope it snows again.

SOOO much snow the past few days in Toronto.
What pissed me off is the local municipal's snow clearing service. Sunday afternoon i shovelled my driveway clean. The town's road snow removal service must have come by sunday nite and by Monday morning they left all the snow piled high right at the foot of the driveway. Well it was freezing rain that nite so u can guess the snow would be frozen ice chunks.
Well, it snowed a bit yesterday and today andupon coming home this evening, the snow road removal was again brushed to the edge of my driveway!!!! Again its hard rock solid snow. WTF ... looks to be a long cold winter in toronto....
*vent over*
I just have to drive backward again this morning after entering a parking lot with 10" snow covered!

It was pretty fun the past 2 days, the local municipal's snow clearing service was slow as fxxk and all I see was they dump sand and salt on the street. I took my car out for fun last night as the snow was pretty fresh, and some area were pretty deep too. My Mugen front lip shovel along the way and after a whole season of abuse, something finally broke. One of the side insert (silver part on the front lip) was lost in snow and now I don't know what to do with it. I'm too busy (lazy) to bring my car to mechanic to rise the coilover by 2 inches, and I kept scrapping hard ice chunks on the ground.
Well, I guess something new for next year if it breaks..... :tardsmash

Got it from the US? or canada?
^^From Parkway. I got 5% off MSRP and free trade the oem summer tires for snow tires. Also they willing to take my E46 for $12250 instead of $9000 what T&C offer me. But I still will try to sell it privately later since the trade in value won't count all the upgrade that I have on my car such as Mtec kit, M3 steering wheel, leather, cd changer and of course software upgrade :shiner:
If we take the silver, white or dark gray then we can have it the end of this month otherwise will be end of Feb. We have to decide this week.
I already ordered a E92 M3 steering wheel from ebay and planned to put on M performance SSK, M shift knob, CDV mod, Aero front lip, M lip spoiler and also xenon angel eyes, fogs and led interior & rear licence light. Also thinking of carry over my 18" BBS CH or get a set of 19" OEM style 230.

5% off + high resale value of your E46 was quite a good deal, but I believe you can save more from the States?
Also, did you mentioned to them about the new pricing? How much are you paying for the 335i? I just went to Audi recently and their S5's MSRP is starting from $65,000. Of course, that's an Audi, not BMW.
Congrat on your new purchase. :grinno:

You are joking my E46 has high resale value!!!! It doesn't worth more than a same MY, same mileage Accord. BMW dun have new pricing, they just have $1500 cash rebate if pay full in cash. Since every maker dropped sales on Nov but BMW increase sales by 20%. I am paying $55000 + pdi + freight + air tax + all the crappy fees + tax. And I still having decide should I add navi to it or not. The navi/idrive option make the interior looks a lot better. If it is a Honda Navi, I will get it no doubt but I am really worry about the idrive system on the bmw navi unit which make it worst than nothing such as blue screen when just listen to radio! :woowoo:

Congrats Ian. The 335 seems to be a tad out of my price range, but i'll definitely check it out when my lease is up. In the mean time, i'm thinking about the new STI. I'm hoping Jeff could get me a test drive or something.

You guys should check out the 135i. Pretty much going to be the benchmark for its price range. Definately best bang for the buck when it comes out next yaer...
Whats going on? everyone all going german now?!?!
Be aware though...you will not get the good reliability of a japanese car and maintenace will be slightly more to keep in good shape/

Not slightly more... actually is a lot more! especially count the cost of ownership, it is horrible! see I only got 15% back after 8yr on my E46. So the piece of mind is always have a Honda as a back up if you go for a German. :tardsmash

Just my opinion, but i find the 1 series 'coupe' hideous. The proportion just doesn't seem right. I much prefer the old 1 series hatch, too bad they are getting rid of that.

Anyways, it would be nice to own an affordable (I hope) German car (Which I have never experience), given its performance data I guess it will be the benchmark of all. STI/EVO X is another story. The STI does perform better than the EVO X, but somehow I like the looks of EVO X more...

I got up @ 8:30a.m this morning, was expecting ALOT of snow but I was disappointed, it's clear on da street. So drove to my workplace & study LLQP (exam soon). Stuck in my office for lik 5hrs, came out again for lunch (McDonald) and it was totally different.
Every car I see got stuck, and I was soooooo appreciate that I got snow tires, I even floor in low gear & making noises (not speed but more like get over the pile of snow) around a cop cruiser that stuck in da snow on a right corner, he look @ me, but what can he do... lol
My car was pretty low and shovelled all da snow and pack in white, my whole bumper is white and NO opening for fog or airdam.
