hi folks

As maybe someone of you already know, I life in Switzerland and I am planning to come to Vancouver for three months to improve my English skills. Most probably May to July. So I will spend a lot of time at a language school. But for the rest of the time, I want to find out as much as possilbe from Vancouver and the region.
So it would be very glad, if you can recommend all the things I definitly have to see and to visit. Some good tips for nice restaurants, cool bars and great clubs (where the beautiful canadian ladies party :nod:) would be great as well.
And it would be definitely cool to meet some tsx/accord drivers from abroad of course.

I guess you can check out Robson street where all the good looking girls are during the summer months, whistler (if you're into skiing and snowboarding), wreck beach if you're into looking at old naked dudes. In terms of clubs, you should hit up Atlantis if you're into asian girls or Caprice if you're into the more mature crowd.

PLUSH & Atlantis are mainly asian clubs. If you want to meet real Canadian girls... you would probably need to check out Richards, Commordore, clubs in Surrey and Whistler.

thanks for the club tips.... I didn't mean it that serious and precise with the chicks ;). I just thought of good bars and clubs where kind people (and of course as well girls) have their party. It's always nice to know where to go to in a new city! So you don't have to do some bad going out experiences in the beginning. And it is always the best to get some good tipps from residents.

do you have some more tips for sights and restaurants I realy shoud see respectively try?

@NeoChaser
not yet... Can you suggest one?

Too many restaurants in Vancouver to try. I think Vancouver has probably the biggest selection of food choices. You should definitely check out
www.tasteof604.com Great website for restaurants and reviews.

@GeneralCho
thanks for this link... that's a good help!

I have my school now. it's called "Global Village". Does anyone know this school, is it a good school?

And another question I have. Accomodation! When I reserve something from Switzerland it's much to expensive! So it's better to do it myself. I was looking for a furnished studio or something similar. It would be for 9 Weeks. The problem is, that over the internet I get so many results, that I can't tell which is a serious option and which is a bad one! Could anyone help me out here? Does anyone know a good and serious agency for temporary rental (1 bedroom or small studios) in Downtown Vancouver or a good internet adress?

thanks a lot....
