GF's friend's friend has an orange one. What sucks was that his car was parallel parked on the street downtown and some SUV backed into the front of it cause the car was too low for the SUV to notice.

Yes, the white is a closer version to mine. However, I'm on a RHD platform. And the color coded panels represent either a different production year and/or model. I haven't done a photoshoot yet on the Exige S. And the CL9 is still in ownership, but not for too much longer as I no longer drive it.

The Exige S is a FY07 with a 240R power option upgrade. In short, it's 176kW supercharged engine on a 890KG chassis and does 0-100 KMs in 3.5 seconds. It's almost as raw but not quite vs. my 400kW AP1, but alot more liveable as a daily car being very very quiet compared to my AP1 and suspension is also alot more comfortable. Suprised to many, this isn't the type of daily car most owners buy it for. In fact, it is dubbed as the road registered track ready car by Lotus running on full time R compounds.

My friend was thinking of the Exige S before as well, compared to a Porsche Cayman. He still haven't decided yet. I drove in a Elise before, pretty fun, but I am sure the Exige S is way better!! And it looks better IMO!!

Not to put anything of bad chips, comparing a Cayman vs. an Exige S is like comparing an 350Z vs. Civic Type R. It's a different category of car altogether. The Cayman drives nothing like an Exige let alone an S, maybe it's the price bracket of choice. But one is a poser, the other is a real drivers' machine.

The Exige S is more comparable with a Porsche GT3 in terms of handling, engineering and raw performance.

Ya, he compared to it in a price brakcet wise. I never drove the Cayman, but when we walked into the dealer and mentioned we were looking at the Exige S, the salesman told us it was just as good and more luxury and attractive too. I was like :rolleyes: :lol: :smash: BUt wow, compared to a GT3?? Damn..
