View Full Version : Shoe Care 101
I see alot of people collecting nice shoes here. SO, how do you guys keep it so clean?? DOn't tell me just don't wear it in the rain or dirt, cuz I don't do that. But I get black marks, scuffs, dirt , and even blue stains from my jeans on my shoes. How can I rescue it back to life?? Any special tecniques or solutions I need to restore the shoes back to life?? Thanks!

no you cant rescue them back to life if you don't put a protection treatment on them first. they make some spray on waterproofing that helps with light dirt and light rain from getting into them. my good shoes I really honestly dont wear unless its super nice out and I know where I am going. Those Hawaii's I bought man I have yet to wear them cause I am not going to ruin them at that price. heck I don't even wear my cheaper shoes that I really like when it rains out. I have two pair of new balance shoes I save for then or if its raining like crazy out I wear a pair of gortex hiking shoes I have.

I can give you a tip with the blue stains from jeans problem but its gonna sound really ghetto. Kids in my high school used to put clear tape in the insides of their jeans near the bottom so that the they wouldn't rub against the sneakers and leave stains. I never actually tried it though.

you don't mean "shoes" as in "leather shoes" right ?

WOw!! that's pretty good. But sometimes I put my jeans inside my shoes, cuz my jeans are too long. I think that's where the stain is from. And I got some stain on the leather as well!

Buy TWO pairs each time! hahahaha I have a friend who's a major Jordan fan! So, he would literally buy TWO pairs of Jordans everytime! One for everyday use and one to store and keep! haha
That's one way of keeping them clean! :p
I admit, I sometimes buy two pairs of the same shoe! :grinno:

I thought about it, but I just don't want to get into shoe collecting. One pair is good, it's bad enough I got into modding cars.
