4-5% more power for only $60, and nobody is interested? :donno:

Did they Dyno it?
I have not installed it yet Ray, as I am waiting to get my header. I have the Injen CAI to install as well.
I will dyno before, and after the install (of everything) for sure :)
If you'd like to read about those who have done the install, click the link at the top, and scroll down to the bottom.
Joker - who can't believe more people aren't interested in this
Most people are not familiar with the Hondata gasket and missing out on a very effective mod. My gasket will be here tomorrow.

4-5% more power for only $60.....
I did check it out. Sounds very interesting, but.....things like this inevitably make me wonder:
If it's that cheap and that effective, why didn't Honda/Acura just use that as stock? I gotta believe they would have jumped at the chance to wind up with 210 hp (etc.) if they could have, for an extra few bucks.
(And if it costs only $60 aftermarket, you know it would have cost Honda/Acura a lot less than that to use it as stock.)
So I wonder if there's more here than meets the eye, including maybe even some disadvantage?
Larchmont, who has a funny feeling that Joker and JTso have the answer.

That is a very good question that I unfortunately can't answer Larch.
I can tell you though that the Hondata Gasket is proven :)

Well, in that case I think I'm gonna sit down a write a letter to Honda/Acura:
Dear Sirs:
As a great admirer of your corporation and the TSX in particular, I would like to offer you the possibility of a suggestion that will increase the car's power 4-5% for only a negligible cost. I mean, the feature would be of negligible cost, but in order for you to receive this information, a substantial consultation fee will be required. I await your reply.
Larchmont, who is always eager to be of service. :D

But I trust you and JTso more. :D
The Hondata gasket complements any CAI to dramatically lower intake temp. Additionally, by performing the throttle body coolant bypass mod and coated intake manifold, the effect is even greater.
