View Full Version : Is it really worth to pay MSRP for TSX??
I don't know if TSX's prices can be negotiable after maybe ~ a year?
Anyhow, do you think paying MSRP to be the first people who drive this toy and feel good about it?
I guess people in this forum are determined to get their TSXs. Otherwise, there should be some responses. Mmmm, I think I am stink!:(

If anyone is determined to have a newly introduced or high demand car, then they probably should be prepared to pay MSRP. If a person can afford to wait until the feeding frenzy dies down, then discounts from MSRP become more likely. I don't think we begrudge a dealer making a fair and reasonable profit on a sale, and we all define that a little differently, but $1500-2000 profit to me crosses that line. And paying above MSRP is for the rich and famous. The rest of us work too hard for our money.:(

If you really are in love with the TSX then one would get it, others can wait till the all new 2004 lineup comes out, and still others may wait and hope for the Type-S? Many may have noticed that certain car makers are trying their hardest to get rid of their inventory by offering 0.0% financing and cash rebates. I don't think Acura/Honda will be that generous with certain models, but there will generally be some worth for the wait. There are alot of titts cars coming out in 2004. I'm biting my nails here about the pricing of the TSX. The pricing may force many customers to the V6 counterparts.
The TL and CL Type-S are very nice, but I think their cousin the new V6 Accord won't be far behind and is probably a better value at ~$26,000 and an added 2 Gs for the voice activated navi
Bugs- Why are you stealing my aftermarket designs for the TSX?!
That is no chop. An imaginary car for us, a reality for R&D folk at Honda/Acura. mmmmmmmmmm Concepts.

Curious about who is paying that? It's a little more than what I would like to pay, but from rumors and opinions on the TSX I think they will sell like hot cakes. I'm still considering it?
i am also still considering it.. My best friend will get it first then i will get mine will see how the car stands up to maximas and altimas :D

The car is definitely not a steal at ~26,500. But considering all the goodies and that it's an Acura I think that they are worth the money. People that complain about the car not being a V6 or being RWD should consider the reasons why Acura decided to do the TSX with those specifications. An I4 2.4L TSX is fine when driving in Europe and Japan. Yeah they drive on the other side but overall driving conditions are 180 degrees different then what we are used to. I hate making such generalizations especially since I haven't driven in either country. Despite that the TSX is constructed and assembled in Japan which will be another reason to choose them over the V6 counterparts that are assembled in the US. Point is that even at 26,500 I think the TSX is still worth it, otherwise I wouldn't be sitting here trying to convince myself why I should get one. :)

Is it really worth paying MSRP for the TSX?
Well, not if you can get it for less. :D
But yes it is, if you're desperate for the car and can afford it.
