I got Fired!!!

Yeah well as the title says my ass got canned today. Not to my surprise I was kinda expecting it. I have been arguing with my boss for the past 2 month and it got to the point to where we would yell at each other infront of all our other co-workers. And friday I told him I wasnt coming in on this past monday day becasue I was going to one of my best friends funerals he yelled and screamed and told me that I need to be there becasue we are swamped and he needs me there. So i just quitely said "Im not coming in on Monday, and if you yell at me like that again I'm not going to hesitate to clock your ass in front of everybody" and I walked away. Granted Im not a very big guy (Im 5'8'' 165 lbs and my boss is 6'4'' 225 lbs). But the next day I come in after the funeral and the plant manager asks to see me and tells me that it would be better if I gathered up my things and left because it is counter productive to have me and Kevin (my boss) working in the same department. Its all a bunch of BS and I really dont care that I got fired I was getting ready to quit that job because of my asshole boss so they just beat me to it. The bad thing I cant make any more shift knobs for anybody :( right when I was so clse to finishing up the protoype for CCColt.

sorry to hear that man but it sounds like you definitely wanted out of there anyways. to bad you didnt get to finish that knob it would have been sweet cause your first one looked sweet. got plans on finding another similar job at all.

No, Im going to pursue my teaching career but I am looking into buying my own lathe and mill to make my own custom anything. I alleady have a welder and over 10,000 dollars worth of snap-on tools so my mini machine shop is started.

Luckily it had nothing or little to do with the production of the shiftknob. We, TSXCLUB, would feel so bad if you got your ass fired because of trying to produce a shift knob for us!

I got fired from a job i was about to leave once. I didnt really give a shit personally. I just walked outta there with a smile and free 2 weeks advance pay :)

Now I have my own business....much happier, nobody to answer to but myself. but the paycheck isnt always predictable is the downside. some months are better than others.
