Also, there's a blue-tint film on the foglights. The Hoens are not a "perfect" match, but it's pretty good; very hard to tell the difference between the fogs and the HIDs. Good quality, IMO.

This pic was taken before the blue tint, of course.

I paid $30 for the pair of H11 bulbs plus about $6 shipping. You could probably get cheaper bulbs, but I dunno....

Getting a true HID would not only be more expensive, but more complicated to install.

I realized that.

It's not melted yet. I've heard that only if you're stopped for a while does the heat build up, but as long as you're moving you'll be OK, due to air-cooling.

You make your mods, you take your chances..

HID kits are plug and play dude...just gotta mount the ballasts and u can put them anywhere....and there twice the amount of light output than conventional bulbs...

Jay: you lost me at "mount the ballasts"... or maybe it was at "$150". ;)

Kyotousa: see me in a year and I'll let you know how they're going. :) They looked like real good quality.... Sometimes I wonder if these short lifetime bulbs are also the higher wattage ones?

Thanks for the comments, all.

Think of the ballast as a little box to convert electricity. actually just think of it as a box bridging wires.

the ballast is what powers the bulbs. hids arent bulbs only they get there power from the box which inturn puts the current to the blub and emits light...thats what ur headlights are-- HIDS....like when u first turn them on and they get dim to bright...thats what ur fogs would do if u got hid fogs...and they are alot brighter than conventional bulbs, last twice as long, and draw less current. its a winning situation ya know what i mean. let me know if ur thinking about them. ill pm u good sellers and kits on ebay
