So guys who's done it themselves... how bad is the install? anything to look out for...

Right now I'm in a tough spot, and unfortunately the only honest dealer I can find wont have the parts in time for me to get it Installed here in PA, the guy back on Long Island is a schmuck, who doubled the price as soon as I mentioned it was an Acura...

So now I'm debating between just forgoing the EDFC, and drilling two holes in the back deck so I can just adjust it manually, or trying the install myself... Thoughts? opinions guys? Bodywork/mechanics are more of my thing then Electronics, so this is pushing me into an area I'm a little uncomfortable with.

i did it and it was a little bit of a pain

the one thing i would say to do is for the rears mount the motor before you put the shock through because the clearance is minimal under the deck lid panel if you don't plan on taking it off

if you follow the directions you'll be fine, it's just time consuming

if you want to come to FL we can do it free of charge, well $4 an hour for lift fees and no labor ;)

lol, I'm almost tempted to make that drive for that kinda price,

I've already installed the suspension in my car... So right now I'm honestly just considering drilling a hole in the rear deck lid, and just putting a rubber or plastic cover on the holes, so I can just stick a Hex wrench down there and adjust it...

I guess ill just look over the instructions and see If theres anything thats over my head

Jason got it installed by the same shop that was originally going to do mine, pretty fair price, however they wont be able to get to it until after im done with finals, and its not worth while for me to stick around another 2 weeks, especially when im supposed to be moved out by next friday

i've got an extra room, it'll only take a day to do the install :rollsmile

you won't need to drill a hole just have a friend or 2 there to hold your decklid up while you screw the motor on

we just unclipped my decklid in a couple spots and pried it up

For the Drilling I just meant as a temp instead of getting the EDFC, just to be able to adjust the suspension...

Thanks again for the advice, Ill prob buy it online and do it myself, just weighing out my options

I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering how the EDFC install went. Any tips? Pointers?
