Just remember that the Japanese cars were laughed at one time long ago. Korea has come a long way and keeps improving. At this year's Chicago Auto Show and on Thursday at the Pittsburgh Auto Show I sat in an Amanti. The cabin is very plush and nice with lot of features. I would consider it if it didn't drive and ride like a Buick. A 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty is very attractive. Sure beats Toyota's warranty and the Cam drives and rides like a Buick too. It was handling that brought me to the TSX, then the reliability, content, and price. The TL and RL handling were too heavy for me.

The new Elantra, kinda looks like it has the rear of a newer Lexus IS, from a distance a person might think its a Lexus IS. While the Genesis concept, the shape resembles the G35, but with the front end of a camry?:donno:

Hyundai cars are getting better and nicer looking, but it would be hard for me to consider one....even at their prices, but the prices for Hyundais are slowing going up.

How are these companies getting away with this?
here is the Chery QQ and the Chevy Matiz, the QQ is a rip off of the Chevy. How they get away it is hard to say. Considering the Chinese gov't requires foreign automakers to setup joint ventures with local Chinese companies to build cars, otherwise they face high tarriffs on their imported cars. Many automakers have setup manufacturing in China, but at the same time given the CCP gov't rights to design, technology and blueprints to cars, which local chinese automakers can copy and learn from. This way they can improve quality and style on theirs.
