Well on Saturday my wife went to the store and when she came out she found this...................................
(warning crappy cell phone camera picture!)
http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e198/SeanS627/Cars/bumperdamage.jpg
We called the police and had a report filed just in case the security cameras were able to get anything, but today when the security manager reviewed the tapes nothing was visible.
It would have been fine if it was 6-10 inches lower because my on order euroR lip kit would have covered it and kept it out of sight, but just my luck it's in the middle and will have to be replaced.
The top spot is a dent and colored with a little rust from the truck that hit her(witness saw the vehicle, but not the tag) and the bottom is a good sized gouge mark
:madfawk: to people who don't have the common courtesy to at least leave their information

Someone rear end my bumper 3 weeks ago @ the EXACT same location, and it''s alot more serious than yours. I also pick up an A-Spec rear lip prior to the accident and found out it can't be cover.
Bottom line: You can go to a trusted bodyshop and get it fixed. It's not cheap for my case, but it's still lower than getting a full rear bumper replacement.
My car is still @ the bodyshop now, I will post up pictures when it's done.

That sucks big time!
The gouge will be hard to repair without a repaint. The top mark might be able to be buffed out though.

a new bumper will run around $250 plus paint, so I would expect to keep it under the $500 total
that is my deductible, but I have no plan to call my insurance on something so petty and cause my rates to jump for something I can leave alone for awhile and fix when i get some extra cash

the gouge would need filler and pain because upon further inspection to can see the black plastic of the bumper
the top parts rust color could be buffed out, but the dent in the plastic would be tough fix without damaging the paint

I guess US have everything cheaper, my quote from Acura for a new bumper is $650CDN unpaint. Since when did the US currency double the CDN currency??? :soapbox:

well i linked to the Acura dealers in the DIY/FAQ Menu and they were around $250, but that is before shipping
I'll print off quotes from all 3 and go to a local dealer and ask them to match the price. Most of the times they will do it without a problem.
I am just hoping to keep it under $500 otherwise i'll :bawling:

yeah, that sucks man
Its horrible here in lancaster where I go to School, people here learned how to parallel park playing bumper cars... Both my front and rear bumper are in need of paint and repair... Im actually considering the J's racing tow hooks, just so the next person that hits my car will regret it a lot more then I will lol... unfortunately you can never trust people, I've seen one person leave a note in the entire 3 years Ive been here

the worst part is she had to sit and wait with our son while the cop did the report
thankfully we have TV's in the car, so that kept him busy for a while

Don't worry...karma will catch up to them! I think it's just really lame when people don't leave messages after they accidently hit someone! *shakes head*
Glad no one was hurt! That's the important thing! :)
