Well, going to Las Vegas for the first time with a bunch of friends. Got any tips that could help a brotha out during the trip would be helpful. Where to find cheap plane tickets, Good place to stay, nice spot to kick it and party. What happen in Vegas, NEVER happen in Vegas :D

Bellagio buffet for dinner, and the Wynn buffet for breakfast!! it's the best of vegas! too bad when we went to the bellagio buffet, i was too drunk to even realize how good the food was, and the Wynn buffet was my first meal in vegas, sober. Nonetheless, they were the best boooofays!

oh, and if you don't want to spend money on drinks, just stand by the tables and tip the waitresses a buck or two, they'll get you drunk.

I must agree that the Bellagio and Wynn are one of the best in buffet dinners. But the breakfast buffet at Paris is simply the best!!! Breakfast at Paris is a MUST!!!

For shows, if you walk around the strip you can find these 1/2 price ticket places. These are the places where you want to buy your tix. You can only buy tix the day of and you cannot buy in advance. But you save tons of $$$ because one show in Vegas can cost $50 - $150. Classical showgirl show... you got to watch Jubilee.

Wow! First time in Vegas?! You definitely have to do it BIG! hahaha I have a friend who came with us for a vegas trip and it was her first time and ever since that trip, she fell in LOOOVE with the place! I think she went back two more times after that! hahahaa She definitely got caught up with the nightlife over there! It's definitely BIGGER and BETTER out there! hehe :grinno: It's like NYC, you won't be able to sleep the whole time you are there! haha

Well, when I usually go to Vegas, me and my friends stay at my aunt's vacation home. It's 10-15min away from the strip, but definitely saves you money with hotels! But if you are a major gambler, you probably wouldn't want to be that far away from the strip! I have a few guy friends who HAD to stay on the strip because they wanted to be able to go from casino to casino to gamble! So, usually the girls stay at the house which is always better anyway! hahaahha

But definitely check out all the hotels and casinos! I've been there so many times and I still haven't been to some of the hotels and casinos there! Some of my faves are Caesars Palace is definitely one of the spots you need to hit up for major SHOPPING sprees! hehe And from what I can remember, their buffets are pretty good! Remember, there are other outlets a few minutes away from the strip! Like Fashion...grrrr...I forget what it was called, but they have outlets away from the strip! That's if you want bargains and do some major shopping as well! But Caesar's definitely has to be one of hehe :grinno: And not to mention that they have a show every hour I think by one of the fountains! I forget which one, but it's fun to catch that show once in a while! Pretty dope!

One of my other fave spots for attractions is Bellagio (they have that water show right outside from the hotel), Mandalay Bay (they have a nice shark tank museum there and buffet is pretty good), Venetian, New York New York has that rollercoaster if you're into that stuff

As far as clubs are concerned. The Wynn hotel has this really dope club inside the hotel! When I went it was the first time it was opening so it was majorly fun! It has a huge waterfall right in the club! Probably one of thee best clubs I've been to! Pure at Caesars is getting tired and old, but it does have a nice rooftop area! I discovered one of the only rooms there which I call the RED room to be one of thee only rooms that play good music! Last time I was there I was there ALL night cause it played reggae and it wasn't as crowded as the main rooms! hahahaa Pure can get too crowded and it's icky! Rio's club Rain is okay, but huge! Tao is another hot spot! I forget which hotel that's in, but I heard it's nice! I still need to check that out! I can't remember the rest of the places, but I'll get back to you on that! haha I have to admit that Wynn has become my fave club out of the rest!

If you want to go to a gentleman's nightclub, there was this ONE spot me and my friends went to for a friend's bday! I forget what it was called, but it was really nice! That strip club was very tasteful! The women there were BEAUTIFUL and friendly! I had a good convo with one of the girls while she was stripping on the stage! She spent the whole time choppin it up with me! I'm sure the guys were irritated that I took all the attention away from them! hahaha But she was nice, it felt like I was talking to one of my girls! hahahahaha

But yeah, everytime I go there with my girls we tend to get snatched up from the line and get VIP status! The last time we were there, it really felt like we were celebrities! Out of all the chicks in line with us, they came to us to get us in front of the line! I don't remember waiting in line at all! I remember we met some other girls in line and when me and my friends got offered to go in front of the line, we took them with us! See? We're so nice! Make sure you go to the clubs with alcohol in your systems already. Also buy like one of those 1 liter coke and mix your drink of choice in there and just chug on that while in line and once you're in the club buy a few drinks and your set.

Thats how I do it prior to hitting up the clubs.

Buy a DUECE 24 hour bus pass. $5 for 24 hours unlimited bus ride up and down the strip. Bus comes almost every minute or 2. Just get on the bus and punt in 5 dollars in the machine that's on the bus and it spits out a 24 hour bus pass...OMG is it a lifesaver on the legs.

Walking is good you get to do some curbside pimpin'

Walking depends on where you stay. I stayed at MGM grand which is at one end of the strip. We walked almost every dayup to Caeser's, Venetion and Bellagio as most of the shops and stuff is around there. The bus pass really saved alot of time and energy getting from MGM to the other end of the strip.

ah yes, vegas. well heres some advice from me...i live in socal so its like less than 3 hours away, and me and my friends made annual trips before i got married...i took the wife a few times also. depends on what you're into. im not much of a club goer, but i got friends that love it so i tag along. pure is great club. Ra in luxor sucks.

Anyway, details.....

take it from me...if you're flying in (i always drive so i have a car) then definetely pay a little more for your room and stay towards the middle of the strip. dont stay at either end...its worth the extra money to be in the middle of the action. plus being at the ends of the strips you'll pay so much in transportation that it would be way more worth it to have a nicer room in a nicer hotel.

PLACES TO NOT STAY AT (my opinions)

MGM Grand (standard rooms suck)
Excalibur (same as above)
Monte Carlo (edge of the strip)
Tropicana (sucks)
New York New York (rooms suck)
Circus Circus (TOTALLY SUCKS!)

If you can afford it, nice places to stay are

bellagio
wynn
treasure island (a little older, but right in the middle of the action)
ceasars palace (awesome in every way)
venetian

now then, food wise.

if you're into seafood, the Rio seafood buffet is hands down the best seafood i've ever had, and its all you can eat. Its $35 per person, but if you love lobster like i do, its a bargain. I eat like hundreds of dollars worth...lol. Rio is known for its food, so even if you dont like seafood, check out their world buffet. bellagio is excellent for breakfast buffets. those are my normal places i like to eat.

shopping...

theres an outlet mall on the north end past the strip. las vegas premium outlets. they're off of the I-15 and charleston. some good stores depending on what you like. if you're looking for good deals like me that is. if you've got lots of cash, then screw it and head over to venetian (mall inside) or fashion show mall, or ceasars where theres all the expensive stuff (armani, tiffany's, versace, etc).

Ok.. the first strip club we head to was the Spearmint Rhino. That was pretty good because we saw some dude up on stage being whipped with a leather belt by 7 strippers. You see tears coming down from his eyes. Don't you just love having stags at Vegas. hahaha!! And then the rest of the night was quite vague. I think you should check out Club Paradise and Cheetahs.

Just got back from Vegas over the 7-7-7 weekend. I wish I was back already *sigh*

Anyway, clubs I hit - Tao (Venetian hotel) and Tryst (Wynn hotel) Both very cool. Passes for Tao my friend bought from the cab driver were pretty much useless. So our group (7 guys) wound up getting a table on the rooftop. 2 bottle minumum...around $400 a bottle. It worked out to about $100 pp- which is pretty reasonable. Even though it was 80 degrees out it was still fun. Our hostess/server was hot and she was with us pretty much the whole night dancing. I would avoid Rain, its too crowded - small dancefloor.
I recommend those party planning sites like vegasvip and vegashotspots.com. Pay one price and they take care of everything. I did that last time I went to Vegas.

We stayed at the Planet Hollywood hotel - formerly the Alladdin, which is right in the middle of the strip.
Because of there is still some remodeling, rooms (very big rooms!) are cheaper (compared to other middle strip hotels). Unfortunately I doubt you'll get $50 a night unless it's a Travelodge or similar.

Buffets - the Buffet at the Planet Hollywood was ranked #1 in 2007 - it's pretty good. We ate dinner at the Wynn buffet and I wasn't impressed. Rio's and Bellagio's were better in my opinion.

Strip clubs - I've never been really into strip clubs and in fact Im pretty much a strip club newbie/virgin.
We went to Spearmint Rhino and Sapphires. I had a blast at both places! Spearmint Rhino is smaller more intimate whiile Sapphires is huge with tall ceilings. Alot of variety and beautiful women!

Well, just got back from Vegas! It was a buisness trip so i didn't really do much. Stayed at the Luxor. Pretty nice hotel! Needs a deeper pool, rooms are kinda old. Well, just got back from Vegas! It was a buisness trip so i didn't really do much. Stayed at the Luxor. Pretty nice hotel! Needs a deeper pool, rooms are kinda old. so the wife and i decided yesterday we're gonna go to vegas for our anniversary...which is tomorrow. I just booked us at a Jacuzzi suite in Luxor for the first night...which is our anniversary, so it can be "romantic", and then we'll go to Mandalay Bay for the second night, so we can enjoy the whole day at the Mandalay bay's awesome pool area.

can't wait! also picked up tickets to KA, the cirque de soleil in MGM Grand...and i have the urge to watch the live price is right show in bally's...you can sign up and try to be a contestant...and possibly win cash, and prizes including car's or vacations! we'll be there from tomorrow afternoon, july 17th, and be back thursday night, july 19th. should be pretty fun. wont be clubbing or anything like that, more just relaxing and enjoying the pool, the shows, and the FOOD!

just got back...the seafood buffet was delish!

its the village seafood buffet at the Rio...its pretty popular...there was a 1 hour line to get in on a random ass tuesday night. Jeez...but worth it, def try it if you like seafood. crab, lobster, shrimp cocktail, and for you meat lovers, prime rib. its not like one of the crappy buffet's, its actually really good. honestly, the lobster i ate there the other day was just as good as lobster i paid $60 for in San Francisco, or lobster i've paid $50+ for at fancy restaurants here...so with that price in mind (for 1 large lobster tail), i ate hundreds of dollars of lobster by myself....plus other stuff, and great desserts! and its only $36.99 per person for the buffet.

if you like to eat, thats a good way to go, i hear the bellagio's got some awesome buffets also, but havent tried them myself. Theres also a small philly cheese steak joint in downtown LV, on fremont street, right next to the freemont street experience. its called philly cheese steak express i believe. its like a hole in the wall type place, not fancy, but delicious cheese steaks. burgers are decent there also, but the cheese steaks are real good. i can give you the address if you're interested.

unfortunately Frontier hotel and casino closed down. it was an oldie, but had the BEST frozen drinks. pina colada's, strawberries daquiries and margaritas...and only $1.99!! however they closed as of sunday, so eh that sucks. trump hotel and casino will be built in its place. he better offer $2 drinks!

I had never really seen any shows till this time around...I saw KA, the circque de soleil show in MGM grand, it was freakin awesome! if you're into watching shows, def check that one out. I also enjoyed the price is right live..although i didnt get picked to be a contestant :( some lady won a new washer dryer, a few people won a few hundred dollars cash, and one guy one a 4 day cruise to mexico. pretty interesting.

and if you wanna shop, or have a lady that loves to shop, check out the las vegas premium outlets...i did some shopping there. they are past the strip on the 15 freeway north, off of charleston. can't miss it.

i dunno where you'll be staying, but i sprung for the little bit more pricey rooms rather than the $50 a night places and paid $139.99 a night at Mandalay Bay. if you wanna hang out at the pool during a hot day, thats the place to be. NICE pool area, has a wave pool, and a lazy river, and if you wanna pay for peacefulness, they have a adults only pool area. dunno waht it costs, but theres "european" style bathing there. lol, i had a pool view room, and i could see the premium pool, and zoomed in with my camera to see topless women walking around. i took some pics too..lol, but my wife made me delete them..hahaha. but mandalay bay was worth every penny, nice rooms, plasma tv's, high def, nice views, nice pool, good service.

was hot as hell though, about 110 degrees.
