yeah this is from a g35 forum.. n i wanted to see what yall think.. so far infiniti owners go with batman... and lexus owners ::i kno from a friend with an sc:: likes spiderman.. now where do acura's stand?

Ok so i'm not HUGE on comic books. But me and my friends both girls and guys have been arguing on who would win in a straight up fight, Batman or Spiderman.

Please vote on either one and post supporting evidence to your choice.

I personally say Batman would win. Batman has the intelligence, resources and training as a "ninja" to beat his enemies...plus he has a sweet *** car. Batman never gives up and gets back in the fight if he gets knocked down. Spiderman on the other hand, has been beaten before and has given up at sign of trouble...basically he's emo.

i agree with all the points made about batman, im not huge on comic nether but for some reason i lean towards spidey. =S i think it all depends on who gets home court advantage.

Batman is a pimp, he is RICH! the women like him. Spider man...he still needs to get laid. BATMAN FTW.

batman has no extra-ordinary skills, he just has a belt full of useful tools and ninja training. spiderman on the other hand, has super-human spider strength and he can jump around on walls. i still picked batman because the batman begins > spider 1,2,3 :)

Spiderman has super human strength and super quick reflexes "bordering on precognition". In the first Spiderman movie when Peter fought Flash, Flash seemed to be moving in "slow motion".

I vote for Spiderman.

Batman Hands down, especially modern Batman, post-Frank Miller's The Dark Night Returns Graphic novels...

Spiderman's always seemed like a bit of a pussy to me, and especially post spiderman-3 movie, Parker's Emo...

I would have to go with Batman, spidey is just a boy and BatMAN is a man with too much knowledge and gadgets to be beaten by spider boy

Spider-Man would win, hands down.

Who cares if Peter Parker is emo in the 3rd movie? That's Peter Parker, not Spider-Man.

Batman, on the other hand, is a ninja with a belt....wow.

i havent watch the 3rd movie of spiderman yet i heard it sucked... lol but yall also have to remember the in the comics green goblin had this special chemical that killed spider man's spidey sense.. and in the comics batman beat superman.. because superman went evil.. by buy alot of kryponite. so if had money to buy kryponite.. he has money to make an antidote for spider man lol

This is where I stand . . .

Basically I like Spider-Man because underneath the costume and powers, Peter Parker is still a regular guy we can relate to. He has money problems, he has to work for a living, he has to deal with regular every day life problems, has to go to class, do hw, help out his aunt, people pick on him, etc. While Bruce Wayne is some rich playboy in a costume that likes to play Ninja at night. That and I dunno Batman might also have been gay . . . I mean he does live in a big ass house with a young boy . . . sure he had cat woman and shit but why did he keep adopting little boys to be Robin? But yeah I go with Spidey because he shows us that even the nerds who get picked on and made fun of can and are unpopular with the ladies can be the hero. Also it can be attributed to morality also. While yes Bruce Wayne is Batman to avenge his parents death. Peter is Spider-Man not really because he wants revenge for Uncle Ben's death, but because since he didn't act do the right thing and stop the car jack that killed him because he wanted to get back at the guy running the wrestling show. Since he didn't act upon this he feels guilty and takes up the "responsibilty" that comes with it. Kinda like how in the second movie when he lost the powers and was happy he had freedom to do what he wanted but when he saw people in trouble he felt terrible cuz he could do anything to help them out. Like the guy getting beat up in the alley all he could do was watch. But to sum it up I prefer Spidey cuz he's your normal regular nice guy who becomes this witty one liner spewing superhero to figure out how to handle this new responsibilty given to him(who also loves to say some funny or really corny one liners) because to me Batman is just some dark brooding guy who is scary as hell to villains but is really some guy who is mad cuz mommy and daddy are dead. But that's just how I see it.

Batman is a hero with a purpose...he chose to be a hero.

Spiderman was bitten by accident, and only decided to use his powers for good when his uncle was killed...

Spidey's immature...batman has the brains, resources, and endurance.

Spidey's immature...batman has the brains, resources, and endurance.

"Peter Parker is intellectually gifted, excelling in applied science, chemistry and physics. In fact, Peter's uncanny affinity for science is nothing short of genius. He uses his wits in addition to his powers. Besides outsmarting his foes, he constructs many devices that complement his powers, most notably mechanical web-shooters (ejecting an advanced adhesive compound which dissolves after two hours), which he developed in his teenage years. They are capable of releasing web-fluid in a variety of configurations, including a single strand to swing from, a net, and a simple glob to foul machinery or blind an opponent. He can also weave the web material into simple forms like a shield, a spherical protection or hemi-spherical barrier, a club, or a hang-glider wing. Other equipment includes spider-tracers (spider-shaped adhesive homing beacons keyed to his own spider-sense), a light beacon which can either be used as a flashlight or project a "Spider-Signal" design, a specially modified camera that can take pictures automatically. He has also used an invention of Ben Reilly's (a clone of Peter Parker), called "impact webbing": a pellet that explodes on impact into a wrap-around net of webbing." - Wikipedia

Parker's no fool either . . . plus . . . Parker got the powers when he was a teenager . . . how could he not be "immature" at the time . . .

Well, weren't Batman's parents killed when he was like 7?

If his parents weren't killed then he more than likely wouldn't have become Batman in the end.

I have a general concept of the 2 but am not a big fan so here is Joe Average's opinion:

Bat-Man may have better gadgets & is more skilled in hand-2-hand combat but I think Spider-Man would still win. His Spidey Sense would make it hard for Bat-Man to get the drop on him & if they did scuffle, Spider-Man's super strength & speed would give him the advantage.

Honestly if you really are a comic fan and know what each character can offer as in their abilities then you would know that Batman is a mere human with money and intelligence, however Spiderman is a super human who has super strength and can jump all over the place.. this is not a fair comparison. Some of spidermas foes will kill Batman with a finger... so who ever says Batman will beat spiderman please go read some comic books.. maybe if you compare someone with some mutant powers then that is more comparable.. imagine Batman fights the Hulk.. however spiderman did fight him before.. this only tells you something about G35 drivers hahaha.. if they choose Batman to win..

spidey owns batman. A utility belt with a whole bunch of gadgets doesn't really seem all that great.

personally, i've always loved spiderman. it basically started when todd mcfarlane was drawing in amazing, then launched 'spiderman.' i was always a fan of his art and interpretation of spidey even though his writing left much to be desired.

that's not to say i don't like batman. for all the strength, speed, stamina, endurance a superhero may have, batman has the intelligence, will, and means to counter most of that (see any sort of story involving him vs. superman). i've always enjoyed a good batman story and thought batman begins is probably the most faithful comic-to-movie adaption thus far.

Man, I remember in summer camp (a YMCA camp called Camp Iroquois when I was less then 10 years old) we would have these arguments. DC vs/ Marvel comics. It was verboten to enjoy both--you had to pick! I was in a strong minority who realized that DC was truly superior.

So as for me Batman all the way!

Batman...Love all the cool toys he's got. Batman always researches his opponents and has a backup plan most of the time. Even when he fights alongside Superman and others, he knows all of their weaknesses...hell he even carries around a piece of kryptonite in case Superman goes berzerk. Who knows...maybe when Batman gets a hold of Spidey's DNA, he may be able to reverse his powers...
