G2 Caliper Paint + Decals (images)

I used G2 silver caliper paint and some decals I purchased from Jays98cobra.
The paint application went realyl well; despite the smell, this stuff was extremely easy to apply and did a great job of covering.
Thanks to Jay, the decals look great... even if I did put a slight curve in one of them when applying. :tardsmash

Wow nice.. looks really clean... I got mine painted Black and I am loving the look too.. its when the stock calipers turn stone color because of all the dirty and dust it looks ugly...

I'm not sure, I didn't buy it new. I assume it had the factory cast grey color.

I used te blue painter's masking tape on parts of the caliper (bleed screw, rubber boots, etc). I put one strip of tape on the caliper where I knew I would be painting close. The paint was pretty easy to control (brush-on).

Doesn't look like there's a bronze, but they do "limited edition" colors sometimes.

I'm betting the black looks great. I debated for a long time between doing black and silver. Hopefully this stuff holds up and doesn't get the dirty grey color.

i just ordered my gold paint.....will get it on as soon as im home/it arrives. it should look good on a green car
interior is tan so it wont be too far off

Hey-- i have had mine on my car now 500 miles...they have yet to fade, discolor or peel...its been blistering hot out here and they been hot themselves...this is good vinyl too...Orcal is the brand...not cheap shit ya know...anyways mine are black with white decals and they look awesome...i was gonna do black and silver but im happier knowing i did black and white...send me a PM and ill send u my address and shipping info for the money order...also i think black and silver or black and white!!

Well I decided on black because my rims are gold... and my ray lug nuts are black so I wanted to match it up lol.. Im gonna see once I get my ray center caps which are gold and black if I can get some new pics.. I dont have the decals cuz the white will look odd with my whole black/gold theme.. :troutslap

ha..they make the car ya know....its a mystery sometimes u see them sometimes u dont...well it depends when i park which caliper is getting covered from the rims and its like a diffrent one every time lol...plus they make the car and people been asking lately...those are brembos on a TSX?? i didnt know they came with them lol...and i laugh


Let me know white about the gold...its actually gold leaf...same thing we use on the fire trucks on the maltese cross....we have both real 24karat gold and fake gold!

factors i would base that off are: Color of car, Color of wheels and how much u clean the inside of ur wheels...i would stay away from white calipers..

White is definitely not on the cards.
Black is a bit passé so silver might be the only option, but a couple of ebayers claim to be able to make a custom coloured HT paint, so with having Indigo Blue Pearl, I'm thinking maybe - but then colour coded brake calipers might be considered a bit contrived.
I'm not 100% sure, since silver is basically bog standard OEM look, and red just wouldn't look right, I don't think.

So for now, the rust look will have to suffice!

this is true...i mean it depends on the wheels alot...5 stars u can see them alot more than say spoke wheels...so it depends on the color ur looking for and how much u want them to stand out...but than again there small so they dont really stick out too much ya know...
