Thank you all for waiting patiently, we have just got these in and they are ready to be shipped as promised it will be a special price. Please feel free to ask me any questions.
The T1R race converter offers maximum exhaust flow and power gain. This converter replaces the stock catalytic converter. T1R offers the Racing Converter, a high flowing non-resonated test pipe designed for racing purpose only. This product is offered by many JDM manufactures but the length is different between the JDM and USDM. The T1R Race converter is offered for the USDM for a perfect fit. With the Purchase of the race converter it will include the T1R 02 fix, This Eliminates CEL (eliminates the engine check light) and brackets to fit the stock heat shield off your stock catalytic converter. RECOMMENDED FOR RACE USE ONLY

So can you specifically tell us what gains these will provide us? Is it just mainly for high RPMs? Also, what is the best combo to use with this set-up. Mugen airbox + Maxiam header + T1R testpipe + T1R exhaust?

I will look for some numbers or find some since you guys want to see that but i can tell you off the bat you will get the most gains with this, it much more noticeable than hondata:)

A test pipe is used in place of the stock catalytic converter, which slightly impedes the exhaust flow. By removing the cat, the exhaust can more freely flow to your exhaust system, which can free up a little bit of horsepower. For example, by being less restrictive than a stock cat, there'll be less back-pressure, which will let your pistons push out the exhaust gas easier so that it can get back to the intake stroke.
The exhaust should sound louder, and some may smell rotten eggs due to no more filtering of the exhaust gas.

That's a bit overstated to sell your product.
I know it will let our car air flow way lot better, but compare it with an i-Vtec point @ 5000. I will not believe a single test pipe can achieve that much power gain.
That's a Good product & Good Price nonetheless.

Sorry if i sounded like i overstated the product, but trust me out of all the mods i have tried on the TSX this is the best bang for the buck. I have had a customer tell me he gained more from the test pipe than he did from Hondata.
Please dont get me wrong hondata is great but its also much more $$$:P

Is there any problems with this testpipe? Usually with just a hollow pipe you get some smell and smoke exiting the exhausts since it doesnt 'filter' anything out.

I'm the customer that told him that.
From my butt dyno, I felt more difference with the test pipe because for hondata you feel the difference only from 5000rpm, and yes it's a big difference, but for the test pipe I felt that there was improvement from the whole rpm range. Btw i have a stock header and CAI, if that makes a difference.

We haven't dyno the test pipe on the TSX yet but we will have the dyno done by next week. From the past cars that we have dynoed like RSX-S we saw +14whp and S2000 we saw about 5-6whp from mid to top so with the TSX I will see some similar gains as the S2000 but anyways we will have some official results soon.
It will work on any intake, header or exhaust setup. The test pipe is just to eiliminate the restrictions of your exhaust system. There's noticeable improvements even I was ranning it with my stock exhaust.
Thanks

^^ The testpipe is design for direct USDM OEM Cat. replacement.
If your OEM Cat. fit your aftermarket exhaust, The Testpipe should fit.

Installed my test pipe along with a SS header two weekends ago and have noticed that my little TSX has a bit more steam from the beginning of the RPMs to the end. pulls harder and sounds alot better than before. I have noticed that the rear O2 sensor rattles against the tunnel heat shield; I will make little room this week and report back with the results.
how would u describe the sound of it?

I wonder should I switch my high-flow cat for test-pipe since none of you report any smell. I did noticed the butt dyno of high-flow cat + header but not sure if it's worth it. I have the SP2 so I doubt it can be any louder.

I got the SP2 and trust me it makes a world of a diference in sound... Sounds great.. Six thumbs up if I had 6...lol..As for smell...Its pretty much str8 piped, so yeah the smell comes along with it.. Smells like a damn N/A car should smell...FTW...I say do it..lol..

I just have the header and test pipe with stock exhaust; sounds throat-ier yet still pretty mild. I am a sales/marketing rep that visits customers every day, so a loud catback really doesn't fit what my customer think I should pull up in. i will probably swap out mufflers & resonator and see how that sounds (something quiet yet deep), magnaflows maybe?
The "smell" is there, as with any car that has no cat/s. That is the one draw back to me since I have already owned an LS1 Camaro w/ cat delete & 3" exhaust cut out (ever see a quarter flip on its own in the cup holder ha ha) and that got old when i was 21-22, much less now that I am in my late 20's. Comprimises, comprimises.
Still a good buy IMHO.
