ok here's what's up
at the moment my car doesn't have HID, but i really want to have it. last week i installed a conversion kit, but it does'nt work out the way i hoped. now in the near future i want to upgrade my headlights to the 06 JDM ones, the ones with the bleu sidemarkers. now my question is" i saw a set of those headlights on ebay, and they were talking about ballasts and stuff included in the headlights, so i started thinking, if this is so can i just change my normal headlights with the HID headlight to have HID. is it just a swap or does the car need to be rewired. does anybody have a clue on this one?

thanks in advance

i believe it should be plug and play and if not at the very worst cutting off ur existing connector and spliceing in new wires to connect to the power on the new ballasts...but this should do the trick perfectly...how come u didnt like the plug and play hid kit u got? wrong color or ballasts not to ur liking?

well to be honest I don't like the extra wiring under the hood, it's just that it looks out of place, i want it to be tight. and the projector on the right sight is a little fogged up, so it makes that side a liitle brighter than the other side, i wanted new headlights, so why don't do it all at once then. the ones i have now are the clear sidemarkers. not the orange ones you guys in the US have., i like the bleu ones more. and the link you posted that's what got me thinking. i want ot go from non HID to HID, and those headlight seem to be the solution.

thanks Jay

Okay, i bought those headlights from ebay, now my question is, with what do connect the ballast on the unit to the powersupply, do the standard HID cars have a special connector for it or does it go otherwise. i mean, i can't realy figure out how to have them powered, from looking at the pics.

well, the basic logic is simple, kind of like Jay explained, you just need to connect your existing bulb wires to the power inverter located underneath the headlight. Practically, it'll be a little harder, because first you need to find plugs that would fit those inverters, and then you need to find out which side of the plug is postitive and which is negative. I don't have the inverter out to tell you that. Somebody may be able to look it up, though.

ok thanks, i guess i'll make it work, this wouldn't be the first project i started., i will let you guys know how it works out as soon as i get them. by the way, things are starting too :jump: look real good now, headlights coming in soon, mugen bodykit, new tires and new rims, guess i'm gonna be busy in the next month or so, installing the bodykit, and takin' a lot of nice pics.
