Has anyone experienced their navi just randomly resetting while u're driving or idle even? I've had it happend to me twice and just wanted to know if it could be anything serious.

Ok, so this problem seems to be getting worse. This morning it reset like 4 times within an hours drive in traffic. I checked both the battery and navi unit in the trunk to see if anything was loose and everything seemed fine. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the voltage stabilizer? And not that i've payed attention to the weather last time it happend, but it was way cloudy today. Could that have been why? Never happend before in bad weather so I have no clue whats causing it.

Have you done any aftermarket or electrical work to the car (subwoofers, DVD player, PS3 system, relocate Navi DVD reader, etc..). Maybe the electrical system might have a bad connection somewhere.
I really haven't taken a look at the connection for the Navi antenna on the rear deck, maybe it could be loose-fitting (do you only have the problem when you are driving)? Did you recently tint your windows? Maybe the window tint has metal flakes and it might be interfering with the Navi signal?
Maybe the subwoofer is too strong and it is interfering with the DVD player in the trunk (if you have an aftermarket sub system).
Maybe the Navi system just needs to be completely reset by an Acura Tech, like a fresh reboot (I think the Navi system has a Windows base operating system).

I've only had an alarm system put in recently about a month ago and teh voltage stabilizer too. Nothing really happend until a week ago. Tint, subwoofer, and amp have been in since last summer with no problems up til now. Seems like it only happens mostly during morning times when theres traffic. I dont think it happens as often in the afternoon. But still i dont know what could be causing it. I already went to the dealer like 3 times this month and i would HATE to go back again, so I hope i can solve this problem myself.

ok, so problem got a bit worse today i noticed and even a little scary. During my morning drive to work the navi reset on me at least 5 times, but thing was it reset right after i pressed the "OK". I'm starting to wonder if this could be caused from maybe a bad fuse or something? I haven't called acura yet to see if they can fix this, but hopefully i can at least find out whats causing it. Hopefully none of my mods.

So i'm bringing the car into service tomorrow to have the navi checked out. U guys think i should remove the voltage stabilizer incase they might suspect its causing the problem? Wouldn't want my warranty voided cuz of it.

An updated disk might help, more than likely it sounds like a hardware problem. It could be the laser read head, worn mechanical parts, dust/dirt in the DVD player, electrical connection, or you just drove over one bump too many and it is normal wear/tear.
I would have Acura check it out to at least get an estimate on what it will cost to fix the problem. There might even be a service bulletin out and the fix might be free.
New Navi disks will not be available until Oct/Nov; you have time to have Acura check it out.
