View Full Version : Need feedback - clear or smoke bumper reflectors ?

A company I have dealt with in the past is currently starting to manufacture clear and smoke rear bumper reflectors for our cars (it's those thin reflectors on the bottom of the rear bumper). I have already evaluated their product (although still in red) and it's perfect. They would like to get some feedback from owners on which would have more interest: clear or smoke.
Obviously, some ppl will prefer to keep their stock red ones, and nobody is preventing them from that. This question goes only to those that are interested in changing their reflectors from red to smoke or clear.
Please vote to provide the feedback.
Thank you.

hard to say without pics of any kind to determine what it would look like, but good ideas. Pete

it's not my idea. I already have my reflectors spray-smoked :)
They just need the feedback from all interested.

a clear reflector may flow better with cleared headlights or a lighter coloured car, such as SSM or PWP. i say cleared.

I received the first of these from my sponsor for evaluation, and they're excellent. Pretty soon you'll be able to get them on ebay.

do they have the reflector in them or just clear lens or smoke lens?

they are refelctive inside (although the smoke doesn't reflect much from what I've noticed) and have clear and smoke lenses on the outside. There is no bulb if that's what you're asking about. They're not lights, they're reflectors - implying reflection of light provided from another source. Just like your stock red reflectors.

The smoked version is too dark, looks like the reflectors are missing. I prefer mine red.

I guess it depends on what color car you have. If it's red, red reflectors are perfect. But if it's black, smoke reflectors are it. I have both sets and still can't make up my mind. I left the smoke on for now, since the ones I had in the past were red and smoked with the tint paint. I don't really care about refelctivity, it looks good to me.

I may be interested in a smoked pair, but I would prefer if they werent as dark.
I would be interested in clear reflectors.

If anyone has more questions about these rear bumper reflectors, you can ask my sponsor, Kevin (GotXenon, Inc.) at lee@goodstuffs4u.com.
What I told you is all I know.
