Question about using Ipod with PA11-HON2y IPOD adaptor

Hi guys! I have a couple question about using the Ipod with the Adaptor. First when I first connect the ipod to the car, it takes a moment until you can hear the songs from the Ipod, but before that there's like a lil sqeaking noise you hear when it's connected. I just wanna know if that's normal and it's not hurting the car or the ipod. my last question is when i turn off my car and leave the ipod connected to the car, the ipod dosen't turn off itself, will that drian my battery if i leave it there too long ?? any help will be fully appreciated, thanks!!!

the ipod charges for 1 hour after turning off the car, then shuts off. It's normal and it won't drain your battery. It will take a moment until you can hear songs because the ipod itself is probably the one coming out of the sleep state, not the car nor the PA11. Don't know about any sqeak noise unless you have a 30GB+ video ipod, in which case the HDD in it might be going a bit bonkers.

I have the 30gb video IPOD and I don't hear any beep, and like acid said it does pause but continue to charge for an hour after you shut off your car
