Hey everyone!

I bought a brand new 2007 Acura TSX on July 4 and wanted to introduce myself. My name's Jason, I'm 24, just earned my Master's degree in aerospace engineering (B.S. in physics), and recently landed my first full-time job. For me, the TSX is a great balance of sportiness and luxury. The extensive list of standard features also made it the best bang-for-the-buck in its class, so it didn't take a lot of comparing with competitors to reach my decision. Details are PWP, ebony, 6-speed, and w/ Navi. I know you all want pics of the beauty (no, not me), so here's one for now. I have a few more if you want.

Prior to this, I'd owned a 1993 Toyota Celica GT-S for about six years. It was my slightly modified daily driver and, for about a year, also my weekend autocrosser. But, it was totaled almost exactly a year ago (on 7/5/06 to be exact) when someone driving on the wrong side of the road smashed into it head-on (the Celica was parked on the side of the road) and tried to run off. It's speculated that the driver was drunk from last year's July 4th festivities, but there's no way to be sure. Fortunately, there were witnesses who managed to jot down the vehicle's license plate number. Needless to say, when I got to my car the morning of July 5 for the first day of a summer internship (yes, my FIRST day!), I was shocked. Luckily, Toyota builds rock solid cars and aside from the obvious visual eye-sore, the Celica drove as if nothing had happened. For the last year, I've been driving my sister's 2002 Volkswagon Jetta 1.8T since she didn't need it at school. Here's a pic of my now departed Celica if you're interested.

So far, I've had fun tinkering with the many features and the navigation system, but I can't wait to finish the break-in period and let this puppy off the leash! I can feel all that pent up tension in this rev-happy engine and I know there's a nice surprise for me in the higher RPMs. I'm hoping to get back into autocross with it later on too, so that'll be exciting when it happens. Anyways, that's all for now. Just saying hi and I'm looking forward to becoming a part of this community!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Lovin' the TSX more and more every day. I'm no photographer, but here's a few more pics for ya guys. My dog demanded that he be in at least one photo. Enjoy!

Thanks! I loved that Celica. It was a ton of fun to drive and I had some great memories with it. Learned a lot about cars in the process of learning more about it in particular. It will certainly be missed.

The house in the background is my parents'. They designed and selected every piece of it. As you already said, let's just say it's a pretty "nice" house, haha.

I'm living with my parents now in the Bay Area (Hillsborough/Burlingame to be more precise). I'll be moving down somewhere around Torrance/Long Beach/Huntington Beach to begin work soon.

My friend graduated with an aerospace engineering degree, and he works around that area...he's worked with a variety of aerospace companies, so maybe you'll get to meet him

Thanks! Yeah, southern California has one of the largest aerospace industries in the country. There are a lot of aerospace companies here, so it doesn't surprise me that someone might move around a lot.

P.S. Go Bruins!!! (I'm assuming from your username you go/went to USC)

Woohoo, another MT guy in the fold. I am digging the black interior with white exterior. This former Bay Area resident bids you welcome.
