Accord Coupe, eh?

I lose track: Is the '03 the NEW design, or did that just start with the '04?
And from what you know about the TSX, how would you say it compares with your car?

BTW I'm very surprised we don't hear more about the Accord coupe on this site. Despite the obvious differences between that car and the TSX, I think they share a lot of characteristics, and I would have thought there would be a lot of cross-shopping of the two cars.

But evidently not. I guess the 2-door/4-door thing makes for a very sharp dividing line.

Well, the cars are very similar mechanically. Same engine, chasis, suspension, and all the electronics are plug and play. The TSX is obviously more refined, very smooth looking. I love my Accord, but I have the "17 TSX Rims, and I have slapped on the TSX exhaust. In fact, I just swapped out my steering wheel controls for the metallic TSX controls, very nice!

I lived in Richmond for a year - does that count? ;) I liked the city a lot, though I've been down there a few times post-flood and it doesn't seem like it's recovered :( I mean, no Bottoms Up???!?

Hey all, I am from Centreville VA here and am looking to get into an 06 CG TSX w/Navi sometime the first half of the year...just thought I would take the time to introduce myself. I am no stranger to Honda's (Acuras) or modding, so feel free to use me as a resource if you want. Past Hondas include 94 Civic EX, 91 CRX SI, and an 01 Prelude. I fell into the draw of the VW world for a short 2 years now and am ready to come back to where I belong. FYI, if you know anyone looking for an 02 GTI, please let me know!

GoHo is pretty good and also Discount Quality Audio Sound and they have one by Lynnhaven Mall will work deals with you as well.....thats where I got my custom box made at with some JL's....(there in my closet). There are quite a few.... I would go price bargain around first ....

As for custom .... they have some good places in Norfolk Va Beach area, like I said earlier, you have to bargain shop around.... I know TNT tinting on Birdneck is an awesome tint place TNT Window Tinting (http://www.tnttinting.net/)
also here is the forum link to my new acura

what kinda speakers u got in ur doors and rear deck, and amp?? i heard on some other threads that only certain 6x9's work well with the tsx unless u hookup an aftermarket amp to em?

i think im gonna go with either infiniti or some fosgates & a 4 channel to upgrade:D

oh ya, btw - what engine mods u got done so far?

Cried may not be a strong enough word!!! No, she said "well it shouldn't matter because you are putting your aftermarket rims on it anyways aren't you?" I said that is not the point, and that if I were to ever sell the car, I would want the Stockies looking brand spankin' new! I will get a pic of it...like I said, not TOO bad, but about 5 inches worth of lip that just makes me cringe when I see it...

I hoped you knocked on wood when you said that :) ... Tell her to park far away from other at wally world....because I will never forget the day when I came outta wally world and a shopping cart was making love to my 04 TSX front fender......3 weeks after I brought it!!!! Braydogg

Well thats the crazy thing.....no one was out there, a storm was building up and winds were gusty and gave the cart a good ol push hehehe....now I have my 06 and I park sooooo far away. All my lady friend I drop off at the door and I park a country mile away.

wushu4u
06-15-2006, 09:17 AM

Hey all, moving to VA Beach area in a few weeks. I'm pretty siked about it, but I'll miss MA too.

I've heard that VA residents hate MA residents for some reason, is it true? Anyone know why?

wushu4u
08-07-2006, 01:35 PM
I don't think we hate MA residents...now...my wife is from NH and they definitely hate MA drivers, not neccisarily the residents though. ;)

TSXBeemerGuy
08-07-2006, 05:48 PM
Well, that's a bit of relief. We definitely drive pretty aggressive up here though ;)

wushu4u
08-10-2006, 04:49 PM
Then you will fit right in with the DC drivers ;) Though I have driven in Boston and other parts of MA, ME, and NH (many other states too, just starting with those 3) and nothing, and I mean nothing up there compaires to Beltway traffic here in the DC area...welcome.

TSXBeemerGuy
08-10-2006, 10:10 PM
Great...can't wait for the first time my heart falls to the floor when someone almost hits me...(knocks on wood)

I was actually driving back home around the DC area and a woman in the middle lane was trying to merge over to the exit...by almost completely stopping in the middle of the highway! (VERY busy highway at that...) Cars behind her had to brake and swerve real hard to avoid hitting her. I've never seen something so stupid in my life of driving. :tardsmash

wushu4u
08-11-2006, 12:40 PM
Ahh...the Brake and Bail...I love it. ;) No, Driving here is an experience to say the least since we have MD, VA, and DC drivers who ALL think they are the right driving style...makes for an adventure every day...that is, when you are actually moving more than a mile every hour.

What's up y'all...I just picked up my TSX today, a 2005 Silver 6MT with Navi...loving it, just trying to get used to the damn tranny and DBW! Traded in a 4x4 Nissan for it.

I missed Xenons...wow...don't know I went back to a car without them (a few years ago I had a Mazda3 with HID which were actually really good).

I'm in Richmond, by the way.
