Alright what's up people!
This is for all you guys driving in the new york city area. What springs are you guys driving on?
I been pondering whether to drop my ride or not, the only thing stopping me is these damn potholes.
I was thinking of getting the eibach sportline springs 1.9/1.7 drop. whoa whoo!
I had goldline 2" springs with agx adjustables shox on my last ride 94 Accord and pot holes cracked my tranny after a while.
So my question is what do you New Yorkers think?
Let me know what Springs you have experienced.
I definetly want to drop it
But I don't want that
Whimpy whimpy whimpy
Aspec 1" drop

I would def get coil overs that is your best bet. I have tein ss and they are great.

Get coilovers, if you just want looks alone go for the Tein Basics or Tannabe Sustecs (they ride smoother then the basics) Personally I have the Tein Flex and im lowered about 3" so I watch out big time for potholes

YES.... I also have tein Ss. Coilovers are better why cheap out and go with springs they will be more expensive in the long run. so if you are gonna do it do it right.

how would springs be more on the long run????

unless you install everything your self and save some $$...

to start springs ~ tein s-tech,tanabes $180 -$200 or eibach $240
installed $150+
alignment $40
....thats already like $300-350

after your shocks are blown from driving here in the bronx (souldn't take long)
koni yellows are $500+
another installation $150 + another alignment ?

when tein basics are like $650 or the ss for $840 .

Looks are awesome, yes I do agree, but I would like some performance benefits more than anything.

To All
So if I'm looking to improve my performance which way am I turning?
I already have
Progressive Adjustable RsB
set on the tightest hole
(Hahaha I said tightest hole)
Cusco Os Strut Bar
And that crazy dopeboy Vtac Decal that adds 15+ extra hp

To The coilover People........
So how low do you guys have your coilovers?
And of course what thread would be right without a great head scratching newbie question....
How do you measure your drop?

So many questions so little time.

Didn't set it real low for mine... one finger for the rear.. and two finger for the front. (guessing it's about 1.7 drop)
I didn't really measure my drop.. I use my EYES to see .. to set how i like it. lol

btw, dun forget about camber kitss..

(You mentioned Tein SS for 850?!?! is that used or something!?!? it's Cheap! for a new one if so)

Okay, heres some quick answers for you:

First if performance is on your list, go with either the SS's, or something like Buddy Club, more then likely you'll go with the Tein SS's for price and ease, I have the Tein Flex, which is the step up from the SS's, but starting at 1400$ its a bit more pricey...

Im lowered almost 3 inches, which is very low, but quite a bit of fun.

And the easiest way to set up the drop is by measuring the distance between the spring purchase, you will see what I mean when you see the actual coil-over itself

With COs you would usually or in most cases go lower then with springs so add also cost for camber kit cause if you go lower then 2 inch you need one.
