Okay so i've read and reread the instructions as to how to hook up the aftermarket dvd player to the TSX w/ nav without getting the tvandnavtogo, but the only question i had left was how to hook it up to get the most effective sound. As we all know, 2006+ tsx's have the auxilary input in the glove (headphone jack). I have used this for my ipod in the past with just a patch male to male connector and i have gotten decent, but still not quite xm quality sound. My question is, what is the best way to hook up a dvd player for sound in the tsx? I have a Y cable that splits the R and L parts of an RCA into a headphone jack, but this results in a noticible sound difference as we all know. The dvd player also has a digital audio out, but i don't believe there is an effective way to hook it up like that either? So i know the solution- Y cable, but i'm wanting to know if there are any other alternatives or if i'll just have to deal with the poorer sound quality.
NOTE: i don't really want to spend the money purchasing something like the USA spec unit right away, but would that be the best option?
