I am going to buy a TSX within a few days and I am torn between the interior color parchment and black. I am looking for comments and advice between the two, does the parchment get dirty fast? the diff between the wood trim and the silver trim? any comments,

oh... this will be my fifth honda/acura....eight if you include the generator/cbr600f4/and lawnmower

the TSX will be: PWP navi 6MT

thanks....

I'm biased but thats because I have the ABP with ebony interior and I love it. love the metal look vs the wood trim and IMO the parchment just looks like crap

Black + metallic trim ;)

(wood doesn't look too good in my opinion)

black looks alot better than parchment IMO. and brings out the texture and shine of the leather better.. and matches the rest of the car like dash and centre console and stuff :D

I think the black looks the best.

black, the parchment doesn't hide liquid stains or stains that come through normal wear and tear that well. Well this comes from a family that had black interiors and beige interiors.... black was the easiest to maintain.

i'm not too fond of the parchment interior. the wood trim doesn't help either...

I have hardtime to maintain my parchment interior. But even though i've been doing really well. Its really clean. only little wear and tear at all on my driver side. and less on the front passenger side.

You just got to becareful when your entering and exit the car for both black and parchment interior. Unless you have a lexus interior those are much better quality.

Just my opinion

I have the same exterior color and options (6MT with Navi) as you. I went with the ebony (black) interior, so take that into consideration. You can see my TSX here:

http://www.tsxclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20114

For me, the parchment interior with the wood trim just doesn't match properly with the rest of the interior, particularly with the dash and center console. The sudden contrast at the intersection of parchment leather/plastic with the flat black dash/console/bins/etc. doesn't seem to fit. Same argument goes for the wood trim. The black and silver steering wheel also stands out unfavorably against all of the tan and brown colors which envelope the interior. I understand that some prefer a tan and wood interior for the luxury feel, but for me the TSX's parchment interior doesn't exude that.

The ebony interior with the silver trim gives off more of a sporty look. The colors (well, there's really only one) also unquestionably matches better with the rest of the interior. Some, of course, feel there's a bit too much black, but that's for you to decide. Good luck and I hope this helped.

i originally wanted the parchment interior w/ my NBP, but when i saw the wood trim, i changed my mind. it looked too old and cheesy.

if it wasn't for the stupid trim, i think i would've gotten it. but i'm pretty happy w/ the ebony interior. black on black w/ tints = stealthy.

I dont know why all the magazines complain about the speed of this car....it is quick! You can get into pull me over speeds in a hurry with this thing. The manual is great...I dont know why I waited so long to buy the car now.

Dealers are giving great deals on the 07's. I think I could have done better but im happy, got for $28,282 I think thats the invoice price. of course tax title was extra.

Congratulations on your new car, and I must complement you on your excellent choices. Post some pics for us when you are able - I am sure PWP with Ebony must be sharp.

BTW, I must give you special welcome as MT driver :mardi: That trans make the car some alive, and I find it a joy to row the gears.

I was having some trouble getting into 6th.....was I just nervous about R being so close, or does it take some getting used to?

Im guessing they must have R locked out when the car is rolling right?

There is an automatic lock-out on R. So you don't need to worry about accidently shifting into reverse. The slight increase in hp and tq in the 06+ TSX, makes it feel more powerful and quicker than the 04-05 TSX. Overall, the TSX can be a pretty quick car. But I want more POWER!!!!

Congrats on the car!

My accord has parchment. If you don't keep up with maintaining it, it can become crap quickly. My TSX is ebony...for me it was a no-brainer

And yes, there is a lock-out on reverse....you really have to move the gear stick to get it to R when you really do want to reverse...I feel like I'm going to end up hitting my passenger's thigh or something =P

Congrats on the new car! I just recently got mine and since ours are exactly alike (07 PWP, ebony, 6MT, navi), I feel I should give you even more props.

when I first looked at the tsx it was the 04 model. I loved the milano red but it only came with the parchment interior. did not like it so did not get it. I now have an 06 milano red with ebony int. looks sharp. IMO get ebony. I also have 6 spd with nav. love it.

I've got the ebony interior and i have to say that i dont ever notice a hot seat. i am at work about 10 hours a day. so my car is sitting in the sun cooking for about 10 hours a day. i have a wal-mart windshield visor, and stock tint. when i get into my car after work i use the auto-down feature on the key fob and by the time i get there the seats are just as cool as cloth.
BTW: this is in 90-100 degree texas whether.

My vote: Ebony int. and silver trim :ben:

I also do not feel the ebony being that hot compared to the gray leather we have in my other car. I live on the coast of NC. I do not have extra tint and have no plans on getting it. the only things that seem to get hot are the shift knob and the seat belt clasp.

well, in my case, it burns my right hand, cuz the damn metal cap on the stick shift is like 200 degrees when I left my black on black TSX with dark tint and sun visor under so-cal 's badass sun for 8 hrs. :rolling_e

you did get a killer deal....where are you located...i wonder if location matters....the color and powertrain combo was so rare i just went for it, money be damned...they actually beat another dealers quote i got earlier that day.

and damn does that shift knob get hot.....makes you keep your hands on the wheel though
