So I brought my blank key fob to "Atlas Locksmiths" in NY this morning, and the guy told me that he couldn't program the key with my 07 TSX. He said there weren't any problems with the 06 model, but only with the 07. Has anyone had a similar problem? And does anybody know where else I can go to get my key fob prgrammed? (I'm in northern Jersey).

Does your original 2007 key have a "V" stamped into it? Need that info to identify what type of chip is in the key. The TL folding key may be incompatible with 2007 TSXes, but I need that info to help figure it out.

Sounds like those keys should work then. The other site has a listing of locksmiths who were able to do it. Two in Jersey that worked were Apple Locksmith in Morganville and ACR Locksmith out of the Atlantic City area. Good luck!

yeah try the dealer and make them cut a blank key first to make sure its right before they screw up your good key

Sucks to hear. Maybe it was the guy who answered the phone who couldn't do it? I know that at the locksmith I'm trying to deal with only one guy is trusted to do it because if they mess up the key, it's toast. Maybe call them back up again and see if they give you a different answer?
The dealer should be able to do it, but since this is not a standard Acura part some of them might be just dismissing it out of hand.

Sorry to hear about all the trouble you're having dude. Ask them why they say it's too different setups. According to all the information I've seen, the 2007's are the same as 2006's when it comes to the keys. There's a lot of misinformation out there, so you need to understand exactly why they are refusing to do it so that you can correct them if they are wrong. Good luck.

i was thinking...is there any way in which i was just take the key from my old tsx, and put it into the TL key fob?

It's possible, but very messy and time-consuming. You'd have to take the physical key and the immobilizer and swap them out, glue them back in place with epoxy, and program the TL key to control your door locks and windows (which isn't hard). Someone's done it, you can probably find it if you Google it.

even easer look for a younger tech and offer straight cash 25 bucks or so. its better for them cuz more money in their pocket and cheaper for you. since it dosent go through the dealership the wont jack up the labor cost.
