Ya, I know there was another thread, but I'm not him.

The situation is this: I will probably spend my college life in FL. Either in FAU in Boca, or Northwood in West Palm. Either school, I'm most likely going to stay in Palm Beach Gardens. My family owns a lil spot there, and I would live there. It's kinda cheaper to be on my own, plus my friend might come down with me too so the costs will be split in half.

Anyway, I had a couple questions.

1. Hows the insurance down there? My company only deals with NJ. And if I do decided to go down there, I'm gunna have to have my own plan. I'll be 18, with no prior records. (Bringing the TSX)

2. Whats there to really do in that area? I go down there sometimes, but I'm with my family. As a young male adult, I'm a little lost as to how to spend my time.

3. This is kinda stupid, but...is there a Polish community around those areas? Thats what I would most likely miss from leaving NJ. Along with the home-cooked food.

If you guys could help out, I'de appreciate that. :)

There are several of us down here (s. florida), but we're scattered. I'm in Miami (last place was Philadelphia). You'll love the weather down here (except for summer). I don't know much about the FAU campus, but I'm sure you'll meet some people there who'll suggest a few places. Otherwise, there's always Miami/South Beach - but it's a little drive away. Funny how people down here think 30 miles is a huge deal (maybe it's the bad driving and traffic). Not sure about any polish community, I am going through good asian food withdrawal (as there aren't many asians here either). I use Geico, but I share that policy with someone, so I don't know what it would be like by myself. Good luck on your move - it's a long drive.

Just got back from visiting. It's awesome. A little complicated to move down (might not be able to take the TSX) but it would be worth it.
