Bush misled US over Iraq - Kerry

The Democrat challenger for the US presidency, John Kerry, has launched an attack on President George W Bush over the conduct of the war in Iraq.

And I hope he'll have the guts to say not just that Bush misled the US, but that he misled "us" -- meaning himself and his Congressional colleagues.

Few of them have been willing to put it that way, I guess because they're afraid it would make them look weak, or stupid. But it shouldn't do that.

And it explains why most of them supported the war effort at the start and for quite some time. Plus the alleged "flip-flop" votes.
