Ok I've been pouring over the specs for the new car and there are a lot of changes under the hood. I've placed my thoughts in a new post on my webpage.

I knew Acura did more changes that it seemed. There have been a lot of complaints about the changes, or lack thereof, but it is clear that Acura did make an attempt & even tho the HP on paper may be lower, the car should feel more powerful for those of us who drive normally.

That edmunds review came out a while ago, and they seem to continue their anti-Acura rants there.

Nice Colin, Thanks! I think we can free up some HP with one less Cat, or losing both perhaps... not quite as ULEV then, but...?

Any word on an LSD in the 6 spd? If it came with an LSD, I'd forego my desire for a Type-S with SH-AWD.

The current car uses to cats too, so I don't think thats the reason for the HP drop. I'm sure its intentional to raise torque and is probably related to the lowering of the VTEC engagement point.

What we know is what we know, and they haven't mentioned anything about an LSD. Judging from the direction the car seems to be going in, the intended customers won't need it.
