Hi folks; just thought I’d stop by and see if there were any specific photos of the 2009 TSX you wanted. We currently have 2 at our dealership but we do not know how long they will be here for as they are press vehicles and could be picked up as early as this evening. I just got done taking quite a few photos but have to resize them for the web. As soon as I get those put together I will post a link. I will check in here before I leave (in a few hours).

Here are 2 quick ones I got. I will try to get one photo with the entire bay. It's really sunny here today so it's making it difficult to get decent photos.

Here is a link (http://www.acuraofbellevuemedia.com/pages/2009/tsx/presstsx/imagegallery.html) to a gallery I just got put together. The official color names are Vortex Blue Pearl and Grigio Metallic. It's hard to get a good sense of the colors in the photos but they are great in person! We hooked up one of our Sales Associates iPhone and it recognized it right off the bat, the nice thing is that you control the music through the cars interface; steering wheel controls work as well. We also attached an iPod and it was the same deal and we noticed that the Acura 'A' appeared on the iPods screen, pretty cool. All in all this is an awesome car and we can't wait to get them in. The 3 plug-in ports you see are in the center console and the wire you see connected is for the iPhone.

Altho the switchblade key is a step up, keyless would be nice since it is supposed to be playing the luxury field.
Since you have now seen 1 up close, what is your honest opinion in comparison to the 1st generation? Will it continue to be a decent seller or has the competition moved on so far (RWD & <300hp) that this just is not gonna fly ... ?

I think the new TSX is going to be a hit. It's an awesome vehicle which is packed full of features at a very reasonable price. HP is only a factor to some folks, so that will just be a matter of personal taste/requirements. I have been with Acura now for almost 17 years and I'm always impressed with each redesign they come out with... I'm STILL waiting for the new NSX though!!

True say, but many of current TSX owners are begging for more power, so I don't think anyone of that group will be buying the new TSX.. however this may attract a new wave of buyers, but it seems like the TSX's value isn't as good as the first gen.

With the exception of the front grill, I like the car. I'm sure the front grill is something that could be replaced at some point. Other then that, I like it. Wish mine had full Ipod integration.

Well the ipod connection is very nice...I'd much rather have the clean Euro flavored design ques of the current TSX, this was one of the elements that attracted me to it in the first place.
This new one look like it should be sold by Honda or heck Saturn even.

I scanned a product page of the colors and interior combinations. Unfortunately, scans of colors don't tend to look that great. What looks like digital noise is actually the metallic flakes.

The blue is, OK, but thats it. If it had 18s, then it would look better. But I am liking the PWP with black leather.

Could you please take a pic of the tail lights w/ the lights on and/or w/ the breaks on? I like seeing the pattern they make ... I hope that Acura has strayed away from the dimple checkerboard pattern they have overused in the past (like my 2004 TSX). Thanks!

Sorry, I forgot my camera today! It's raining out though and day light so the pictures wouldn't show much detail. I turned the lights on and looked at the rear tail lights and it looks like clear plastic, no patterns. As far as the model numbers, one is an automatic with navigation and the other is a 6-speed with navigation. We just got assigned 19 TSX's so they should be here soon; we have them listed on our website.
As far as the model codes go, it should be CU not CL, CL's are 2008 models.
CU2569JW = 6-Speed Premium
CU2569KW = 6-Speed Technology Package
CU2669JW = Automatic Premium
CU2669KW = Automatic Technology Package
Just by looking at the full VIN, I haven't figured out how to tell if it's a Technology Package or a Premium, our inventory system puts in the JW or KW. You can tell the transmission type by the second numerical number, 5 is manual 6 is auto. Acura has pretty much stuck with the odd number for manual and even number for automatic.
Also, I just got handed a CD with accessory pictures for the 2009 TSX. As soon as I get caught up on work, I will put them in a gallery and post a link back here so you can check them out if you like.

i am personally not a fan of the interior. i wish it were more clean, without that knob sticking out somehow.

Do you know the cost for the 18 inch wheels and the rear wing spoiler to be installed by the dealer. I can't wait until I can get one. I am trying to save at least 15000 and I am also waiting until I get out of school this summer. Its a good ass deal for all the things that come with the car. My current car cost 30000 and it doesn't come as nearly loaded and I am alrways afraid its going to stop any minute. I have a 2006 Supercharged Grand Prix and I barely get to use the power here in the Chicago area being constantly in traffic. Also, I compared the S40R, IS250 AWD, I hate BMW's, MKZ, and the A4 and they all cost at least $9000 more than a TSX with the same equipment some of them like the Lexus cost in the range of just going ahead and getting a GS to have some of the same features as the TSX. So if you live in a metro area like Chicago where some of the farthest suburbs are a good 60 miles from Downtown and encompass 10 million people all trying to get there at once, the TSX makes perfect Sense and Centsibility.

Hello eaptlm05, at this time I do not know the cost of the accessories. Once the vehicle gets here our Parts Manager will supply us with that information. You will have to check with your local dealer to find out what their labor rate is as well.

I turned the lights on and looked at the rear tail lights and it looks like clear plastic, no patterns. I hope that there is some kind of pattern inside the lights. Obviously there are no LEDs at this time but I hope that they @ least fake the look of LEDs like they did w/ the current Civic sedan:

That thing is going to look pretty sweet with a set of 19's or 20's and a classy kit.

So how about a Group Deal on 09' TSX's? 10 or more and bodykit is free-Ha!
Anyways, any idea on invoice/cost? I know they will not be sold @ invoice this early in the model year unless you work only on volume. For comparison sake, I may wait for an 09' in 10' or an 08' in 08' w/low finance incentive. I heard the base was $28,XXX and the Nav option was $4K? Putting it up there with a TL. Any thoughts you can share?
Thanks!

In regards to pricing, we have not gotten any information on that. We usually don't until the day the vehicle physically hits our store or maybe a few days before hand. With the ‘08 models, that was the first time Acura posted the prices on their website before the vehicles hit the dealerships. The Press vehicles that showed up had blank MSRP window stickers; that is the first time I have ever seen that.
We have no idea what the Technology Package is going to cost but I can’t imagine that it will be at the same price point as the base TL. For the ’08 models, the Navigation TSX MSRP is $31,005 and the MSRP of the base model TL is $34,440 so Acura does like to keep some separation.
If these ever go for invoice (which I doubt) it won’t be until the 2010 models are about to be released. Perfect example is right now Dealers are very aggressive on the ’08 TSX’s. Depending on your location, there is a 0.9% APR which is the lowest APR I have ever seen for an Acura. If you are not fond of the ’09 design and want an ’08 I encourage you to start visiting dealers right away. The longer you wait the more limited your options will be such as color, trim level, accessories on the vehicle and so on.

Yes, the Vortex Blue Pearl is really nice and I'm sure it will be a very popular color. The Polished Metal Metallic and Grigio Metallic are very close in color, the Grigio Metallic looks like it as a bit of a shade of brown to it. To be honest, all the colors look really good. The Preium White Pearl reminds me of the Sirus White Pearl they had on the Legend Coupe, it's an awesome color when the sun hits it.
