it pretty much looks like the size of 04-07 accord, like the color made it look smaller but it dwarfed my s2000 when i pulled up beside it.

I'm really not impressed with that car at all.
I think the door handles are horrid.
The tires plus the fenders are also horrid.
I think these are the worst pics of the 09 I've seen yet.
Not meaning the picture quality, but the look of the car.
To me, this car, bone stock, is ugly, flat out.
It'll need a whole lot of work on the outside for me to like it.

and people didn't like the 06 and later year wheels! Those 09 wheels are ugly!

I just feel bad for the person(s) who will buy the 09 model after seeing us bashing the design (which is clearly flawed).
Glad I jumped in and got the 04

it was actually ok it kind of reminds me of the 04-05 TSX alot just bigger.
The grill i think is the biggest cheapening factor for the design, as it seems over styled and huge especially in person.
The wheels also look pretty crappy in person. I think it would have been better if they just recycled the wheels from another honda model. The split spoke wheels from the DC5 integra type R/ accord euro R would look nice. And for 18' i think recycling the TSX type S wheel would have been nice too.

that is ONE UGLY CAR
you need to put in at least 3 g's before it's starts to look good...
it looks camry/es350/accord/crap
so disappointed..
it better drive like a dream...

First thing I noticed, the door handle trim. asdfg It makes me want to cry. :bawling: Overall, I don't think it looks that bad, but I'm happy with the first gen tsx. :D

From what I read, ya no. IMO, the new TSX was done too quick to soon. I rather would have liked to see a 2009 CL9 with perhaps like a special addition. 18" wheels, some kind of tech package, etc... Like a final farewell for the car. Then bring in the '10 with the RDX engine.

oh and p.s. demon/angle eyes would look terrible in those headlights.

Hmmm I thought I was starting to warm up to the redesign, but alas. Seeing actual pics disappoints me more. Sad, sad day for the TSX.
Pour out some liquor....
I mean why the buff fender lines? The white parts on the tails don't even blend well. I the rims are "blah". That grill is enormous and horrid!!
Hmmmm I will try something brb.

Looks like a bigger version of the new gen civics. Is this what the Accord will look like in the Jap/Euro markets as well?

^^^^Look at cyphers car and how beautiful it looks. How they went from that to this bewilders me.
Ok I "paintshopped" it with a "drop". Does it help, you be the judge.

Good Job with the edit. Not sure if that drop helps it at all. Might need a lip kit and bigger rims as well. Until I see that I'm still giving this design 2 thumbs down.

yeh i think to make it look right dropped the 09 would need a front lip, skirts, and valences and much better wheels.
Maybe some Work VS-XX would make it look much better.

It looks alright to me. It grew on me like the new accord. I don't like that its such a pig with a 4 banger.

I know why we don't like it. I got it. It blends in too much. Too Camry-esque.

I think it looks like a new generation BMW that crashed into a Saturn to form this poor excuse for an Acura. What happened to the sleek lines and aggressiveness of gen 1?

Where should I start? Thank god I found the perfect 2008 TSX before they stopped making them. What can I say other than the grill, wheels, and sharp lines needs to go. But I do love the new interior (more of a luxury feel/look) specially the new nav system.

it doesn't look too bad in person, just derivative of the accord and camry. the thing i would change are add a front lip/ valences/ skirts, aggressive 17 or 18' wheels, and most definitely tone down the grill.

There was a 09 black 5AT at the local mall this evening. I stopped by him in the lot and got out and gave it a walk around. I think the 09 TSX is one of those cars that actually doesn't improve in person versus pictures. It looks bad for the same reasons in person as it does in pictures. The rear is PASSABLE, but not great. The wheels look dreadful, and the large front fenders and grill really grab you by the throat when you walk in front of it.
So you go from one extreme to the other - an in-your-face huge chrome grill and massive "beak" look to the car... and a forgettable, Camry-esque rear-end.
No thanks. Seeing one in person reaffirmed my desire to hang onto my 04. I love my 1st gen TSX. :)

IMO it actually looks better in person. We just installed Honda Access front and rear bumpers on one of the lot cars and it improves the looks quite a bit. I know, worthless without pics, it'll turn up soon on the interwebs. But it still uses the "signature Acura" grille. I'm sure JDM Honda Accord grilles should be popping up all over the place soon.

JDM Accord grille makes a huge improvement in the looks of this car.

I heard on Friday that a TSX Type-S is being tested in Torrance, CA.
Specs from what I heard was
RDX engine w/ turbo
SH-AWD
Way better looking than the regular tsx.
I ain't lying either about hearing this.

This is what we all heard was in store for the 2nd gen TSX...obviously that didn't happen.
If there is a Type-S, they probably won't introduce it until the mid model cycle refresh...or 2011, at the earliest.
What do you mean way better looking than the regular TSX? You mean 1st gen? I hope you don't mean it'll look like the 2nd gen, because that would make it worse looking...

Wow, I'm surprised that so many of you don't like the new look. Maybe its because so many of you are 1st gen owners. Since I don't own a TSX (yet!), I consider myself unbiased. I always liked the clean lines of the 1st generation, but dare I say it seems a bit boring and plain? The 2nd gen has a much more aggressive look to my eye, and I absolutely love the extra width of the body.
I also love the new rear end, but the grille definitely has to go and the wheels leave a lot to be desired. A simple swap with the Euro Accord grille and some nice aftermarket wheels is all the 2nd gen needs to look awesome!

Why all the daggery shapes, head lights, tail lights, door handles, front bumper all have these dagger points going on ehhhh thats soooo ugly to me. Is the head designer a collector of knives and assorted daggers and such.
