Yeah, I don't like that any more than I imagine Joker does.

But, probably they did what they should have done, maybe even what we would have done if it was our place. They run it as a business, not a political platform. It doesn't mean you can't do political stuff, but if the stuff offends the customers and hurts the business, that counts. And you could certainly say it was bad judgment on the part of the performer to do what she did.

I mean, look what the story was:

Ronstadt...dedicated a performance of "Desperado" to Moore and his controversial documentary.....That dedication angered some Aladdin guests who spilled drinks, tore down posters and demanded their money back......About a quarter of the 4,500 people in the audience got up and left before the performance had finished......

Linda Ronstadt (one of my favorites, BTW) has never been one to shy away from controversial and/or unpopular topics. She has even mentioned her political views on the Tonight Show.

Many years ago she did an all-Spanish concert here in Massachusetts. Some people weren't happy, but hey, she was promoting her first all-Spanish album.

At least she had the guts to say that....but too bad she isn't welcomed back to perform there anymore.:(

Why not?

A lot of concertgoers expected to hear her pop/rock hits from the 70s and 80s.

P.S. Great to see you, DNB!

Thanks. I've been in lurk mode lately.
