Has anyone seen or drove the Indigo Blue TSX?
I am considering going with blue, since the black only comes with that puke-brown interior colour. But I haven't seen the blue yet.

we only have the artic blue here i believe....
I saw the TSX in Indigo Blue at Camco Acura on Carling last week.
(1) Outside looks: Simply gorgeous, and that's what I am getting. I have seen all other colours except silver, and so far the Indigo Blue is the nicest one.
(2) Interior colour: The Indigo Blue comes with the black leather which I think will resist dirt much more than the beige leather - especially when dirt gets into the perforations.
(3) Test drive: I drove a manual (red colour). The drive is really nice, quiet. The gear shift is really smooth and short. It was rainy so I couldn't do any spirited driving.
When are u planning to buy, drop me a note.

I'm waiting to see Indigo blue in person. I have a preference for dark blues so it will be either dark blue or silver for me.
Test drive on Saturday morning. I'm excited as hell. This will be my first new car and my first "real" performance car.

I'm test driving the red demo they have in Camco on Friday. I was thinking of signing the papers then for a black one, I love the black, saw one in Toronto.
But then I realized Black only comes with the beige interior, which I could live with, if only it wasn't for the ugly wood trim. I don't think I could stand looking at that everyday. It is bizarre why Acura Canada is so stupid in their colour choices, who the hell would offer black exterior with no black interior option. In the US the get a choice for interior colour.
Anyways, I'd like to see what Indigo blue looks like. I haven't seen one but sounds like it's nice, so I probably go for the blue.

Hey Soze75, I like dark blue too, but TSX doesn't come in dark blue, or Silver. In Canada the colour choices are: Black, Red, White, Indigo Blue. It's pathetic.... how do we complain to Acura?
Bozz, did they have a blue in Camco? I was there yesterday I only saw a red and a black. I'm thinking of buying pretty soon (next week), how much discount do you expect to get? Is Hall acura better than Camco?
Thanks.

Hey Moisted.
I totally agree with you on the black. I was ready to go for black until I found out that it only came with the beige leather and wood trim...ughhhh!!
My sales guy showed me the Indigo blue on a colour chart and it was darker than the Arctic. I'd have to see it on the car to be sure of its hue. He also confirmed silver as a colour choice as well. The one I sat in was silver and I saw two silver and two white being delivered to them a week ago. Maybe you were told "no silver" because they haven't ordered any in the first few shipments, but that in itself would seem outrageous since silver is one of the most popular colours these days. I am pissed that we Canadians don't get gunmetal grey metallic or whatever they call it. I love that colour!
Good luck, and tell us how that test drive goes.
Time for work now,
Go Canucks!

Soon to be Silver/Indigo Blue TSX, black interior, 6-speed, and a huge f'n smile. :D

All Canadian cup final!
Hey Moisted:
They were delivering the Indigo Blue to a customer.
Some additional comments about the car:
- I am surprised it lacks memory seats and hydraulic supports for the engine cover.
- Comparos: Anybody knows when we will see comparos against the 325 and A4 in the auto magazines.
- Acura says the TSX passenger compartment size is 91ft3. I did not feel it was that much smaller than the 101ft3 Accord 03 (mind you the Accord with mooroof should be 99ft3).
Regarding the discount I have not started negotiating, but the Sales Rep hinted they were offering none. I hear some people in Toronto were able to get $1000 off. I will be checking the dealership in Gatineau this week end.

Hey Bozz. agree with you on memory seats, I'm disappointed too. I also agree with you on the desert-sand colour, the one they have for RSX, that is one cool colour. Do you guys think perhaps we should wait til next year, they will most probably offer better colour choices next year.
I'm test driving tonight (I had to postpone, too busy these days). I'll let you know how it goes.
But I really really like the black. Damn that ugly wood ....

Okay boyz & girls, I bought my TSX today :D I went to see my buddy at Camco, test drove the car, then started to haggle. I was lucky since my sister inlaw was buying an RSX at the same time. So we were able to bring the guy down since he was selling two cars.
After a couple of hours, I signed the lease for $1300 below msrp. (my sister inlaw bought her RSX for $2100 below). I'm so excited... :D
If you guys want to try this guy at Camco, let me know I'll refer you to him. He's probably the only descent sales person there.

Hey Moisted: congrats, what did u get? colour, auto/manual, options, name of salesrep at Camco, driving impressions...

Way to go Moisted. I'll be using your experience as ammunition to try and get the price down a bit when the time comes. I'm driving that baby today if all goes well. I'm sure your posts will be few and far between now, due to your new purchase. Drive on buddy:cool:

Okay, I'll try and answer your questions as much as I can, if I miss anything let me know.
My TSX - The only option I added was the rear spoiler. Since my wife is going to share the car with me I had to buy an automatic (I know, I know... but at least it has a sportshift, besides I get to keep my Prelude SRV for when I really crave to shift).
Colour - This is the funny thing, I signed the bill of sales without specifying the colour :p . Since they didn't have the blue on the lot I told the guy I would go to Casino Acura to checkout the blue, then I would tell him if I want blue or black. I love the black except for the puke wood trim. So I may go for blue. I'm supposed to call him by end of day tomorrow.
Camco guy - His name is Khalil (or Khal), number: 728-8888. Right now he's the manager of Used Cars section, but also deals new cars. He's a really descent person to deal with.
Driving Impressions - For me the most important thing in a car is handling. I've had my Prelude for 7 years, I've been spoilt. The TSX handles as good or better than my Lude. I test drove a 240hp Accord coupe, it goes like sting but I didn't buy it because I had to slow down at corners, I ain't doin' that. The TSX corners great and it's fast enough (even with the auto). The engine has that quiet roar to it that I love, it's a mixture of the familiar Vtec prowl combined with german bmw-like solid metallic sound. It's different from any other Honda/Acura I've driven. I loved driving it. The guy gave me the keys, and I didn't want to come back...
Can't wait to pick it up.

Nice description of the engine noise or should I say, soundtrack. I got it up to 6000rpms and the sound was wicked.
I still have to wait a month or two until I know I can afford this car. Until then I'll be following your ownership experience.
Enjoy mate!:)
dam man congrads!!!!!!!!!! I also like this car because of the handaling i test drove all cars in its class and none came close to the same handaling as the tsx ! You dont like the pearl white? it looks very nice with black tints

The white is cool, but I just had my mind set on black or blue. I just came back from checking out the Indigo Blue they had parked at Casino Acura. I don't like it, it's almost purple in the sun. It's a weird colour. I just don't like it, I was hoping it'd be darker, more normal blue.
I would love to have a talk with the marketing department of Acura Canada, and ask them why the hell they'd come up with these weird colours, when they already know people like the sandy gold, carbon gray, dark blue, even the bright blue available in the US. Just doesn't make sense. At least make those colours available, then come up with bizarre ones.
So black it is for me... I'll get a metal trim for the interior strip as soon as one becomes available after market.
wow i thought the colors would be atleast the same with the u.s almost purple :( (I dont think they care if people buy their car)
I wish they had the yellow one like mazda 6 would look completly amazing with the tsx.

Dammit!
Thanks for the Indigo description, Moisted. I saw a photo of it in dark light and thought I liked it, but after reading your opinion, I'm afraid its going to be silver for me. I wanted black but I must have black interior/metallic trim. I hope the aftermarket gives you what you want soon.
GIVE US CARBON GREY YOU FOOLS!!!!!

The Indigo Blue is much more purple than it is blue. Don't be fooled by dark pictures. Go see it before deciding. It ain't pretty (in my opinion). Agree with you, Carbon Gray would be sweet.... sigh...:(

Hey guys, I just picked up my TSX a couple of hours ago, 'been driving around since then. It's awesome...
But, got a bit of a problem. My steering wheel seems to be pointing too much to the right, it doesn't seem centered when driving on straight no-curve roads. What do you think this could be from? uneven tire pressure?
I dont think tire pressure would give you that kind of problem.. How many miles so far? when you get to 50-100 and same problem take it back to the dealership (check tire pressure to make sure)
Keep us updated i would like to know about this..

I looked at the New Vehicle Information statement they gave me. In there it says when the car was delivered to the dealer the odometer reading was 12km. But when I picked up the car it said 1km.
Can the dealer mess with the odometer reading? I'm just thinking maybe the car was used for demo or someone's pleasure ride (ie. the manager), then they backedup the odo and sold it as new. That would explain the misalignment, and I don't trust the Camco service people at all.
One more thing, when I picked up the car all the radio stations were set to local Ottawa channels, AM and FM. Who would take the time to do that?

It is possible to change the odometer but i dont know if they would take the time to do that not a 5min proccess.. Take it back to the dealer ask them to fix it.

Yikes Moisted.
Some guy at the dealership took the time to set the radio stations for you, before you picked up the car. I highly fookin doubt it. Your hunch about one of the big wigs using it for a couple of spins sounds about right.
Did you wait a couple of days to get the car after you signed on the dotted line? It would be plenty time to fix the odometer. It is quite impossible to only have 1km on a new car. The 12km you mentioned sounds about right for a new car.
Sorry to hear about your experience.
You've got some good evidence that your car isn't brand new. A $2000 rebate sounds about right.

Okay I talked to the dealer. Here's what he said:
- He says they always put 12km on the Vehicle Information Statement when they get delivery of a new car, just in case they need to drive the car around for inspection or something before the customer takes delivery.
- He also says that they always set the first 6 radio stations for the customer as courtesy (...ya I know)
- He said my car was driven around the block for predelivery inspection, and then to the gas station to put some gas in it (it was less than a quarter full when I picked it up). All of this was below 1.8 km, which is what was on the car when they gave it to me.
- He says some cars come out of factory needing adjustment to steering wheel. Even if that's true shouldn't they have discovered it during the damn inspection? Isn't that what we pay $900 for?
I'm supposed to take it back for them to fix it. I just know they're gonna say it's fine and I have to go back and forth to prove it to them. I just know I'm in for a painful experience....

In case you guys are wondering, it turned out to be a problem with alignment, they adjusted the tow and it drives better, but not perfect.
Apparently dealer never bothered to do any PDI on my car. You know the $900 they make you pay for predelivery inspection, it's money for the lazy bums to sit on their ass and pick their noses.
I'm trying to get Camco to refund my $900, but still worried that there could be other things wrong with it...
Never buying from Camco again...

Yo Moisted. I just read your Camco experience on the other TSX site. The lying and BS you endured was just plain bollocks. I guess they figured you'd just go away after putting up with their BS. What a nightmare. Hopefully Acura Canada does its job and solves your dilema.

Thanks Soze, good to know someone's on my side. Unfortunately, I'm getting nowhere with Acura Canada either. The manager of "customer relation" left me a voice mail saying as far as we know everything is fine. No other explanation...
Don't know what to do next. I'm gonna contact my lawyer see if I have a case to get my $900 PDI money back.
Hey Moisted: Just read about your ordeal. I had a similar misalignment problem with when I leased my Accord Coupe V6 in 98. Realignment alone was not enough. They had to rebalance the wheels as well.
Hey Moisted: Is that your car on Bridlewood Drive in Kanata? I live in the neighborhood.
Moisted

Sure is Bozz. Got my in-laws staying with us for a while, don't have enough room in the garage.
They did a second alignment, this time the steering wheel is dead centered. But the car still pulls, I'm guessing it's the tires, like you mentioned. Did they just rebalance your tires or did you have to get new tires? Did the rebalancing actually work?
Thanks
Hey Moisted: Rebalancing helped up to a point. At that point Honda suspected one of the front tires is slightly mishaped. So they rotated the tires and the problem completely disappeared. Of course the problem reappeared a year later when they realigned the tires again. I hope this helps. BTW, I am on Speers Cr - would appreciate taking a look at your TSX when you have some time.

No problem if you wanna drop by. I'll be home tomorrow after 6pm, my wife's sick, so don't think I'll be going anywhere tomorrow night. Come by if you like. BTW, my name's Ramin.
See ya.
