us regional forums

going through the various us forums i noticed that these are fairly quiet and hardly any posting is done. How about either combining them into just on forum (usa) to make it like canada... Or doing away with it as there are other forums for this information like off topic, general information etc...

I am speaking for myself when I say that I hardly ever go to the texas sub forum

Johnej's right that there has been little activity on those forums. It still seems like a nice idea to keep them, because hopefully that will change.....and regardless, those forums are a good place to post about any regional-oriented things that might come up, like meets and shows.

About not looking over there.....there are various other forums too that people don't look at much (including where we are right now, "Suggestions/Updates"). I wish somehow we could encourage more people to use the "View New Posts" feature, which shows all forums that have been active lately. That's what I do when I want to make sure I'm not missing anything (which is usually). You might think that's a waste of time because you're only interested in certain things. But really, "View New Posts" is like what Forrest Gump said about a box of chocolates. (I imagine y'all know that one.)

Anyway.....maybe johnej is right all the way around, and maybe the structure should be changed. But I'd just as soon see it stay as is.

That is a broader thought than I had. I originally thought that if the us is broken up into regions why is not canada, and international. I was trying to be consistent throughout the whole forum. The idea to get rid of the lesser forums, I think is a good one. The site already has general car topics, off topic, political and religion. With these forums, there really is no need to have the other inactive forums. The above forums listed would fit the majority of them.

hee hee... breaking the CANADA regional forum to BC... ONtario... etc..
or West vs East... it doesn't matter.... most people on Canada forum come from the same place...
