I know Crystal Black Pearl is the new Black Honda is switching to & Nighthawk Black was what they used for years.........Nighthawk Black obviously has the blueish green metal flakes in it, which was pretty cool.

Can someone describe in detail what Crystal Black Pearl is like in person? any metal flake in it?

Is it basically a flat black?

I can't remember now that I try to think about it. Which is sad considering I'm honestly leaving in 15 mins to take delivery of my new Crystal Black Pearl 2009 TSX at 3:00.

Based on the color description though, it sounds to be a metallic based paint. I'll be able to comment in detail this evening when I have it home.

thanks man, appreciate it....i just wondered b/c the dealers here dont have one & i'm thinking about that color, so that's why good details on the paint (in person) would be helpful.

I look foreward to your impressions of the new vehicle. I am getting my Grigio TSX-Tech on July 23, 2008.

The new black has silver pearl in it, and galaxy blue pearl. Shold look like a nice black. The old color had only blue pearl.

This guy is correct. After picking mine up today and looking at it closely, you can see the silver and blue metallic flakes within the paint. Black is the best color on this car IMO.

very nice..are these flakes as noticeable as the blue flakes in nighthawk black? b/c those were definitely very noticeable in the sunlight.

There is no question that black is the best colour on a clean vehicle, however, when it gets dirty??

The blue is really only noticeable in sunlight.

if you look @ the paint directly from the sun, there is like silver powder looking color on the paint.
