visiting in DC

Hey guys, so i came down to visit my sister in Germantown and i was just wondering if theres anything to do around here or in the DC area?

Yeah, there's a few things to do, let's see:

Smithsonian(s); art, aviation, natural history, national archives (decl of independence, constitution)

Holocaust museum

Nationals (3 games against the Mets starting on Tuesday) I see you're a NY guy (like me), and perhaps a mets fan (also like me)

National monuments (Lincoln, Jefferson, Washington, FDR, WWII, Vietnam, Korea, Arlington)

Plus, the weather is beautiful today, and should be for the next many days (I think)

Have fun in DC, I'll add to dedeman's suggestions which are all good, and accessible by the Metro (subway), which is a very good system here in DC.

Germantown is in montgomery county, where I'm also in, so ask your sister to take you to Bobs Noodle 66 on Rockville Pike. It's awesome Taiwanese food.

DC:
Spy Museum
Tour the capitol building
See White House (front and backside)
See the Dept of Treasury, Interior, and IRS all nearby. So is the FBI building.
Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (maybe catch a performance)
Newseum (www.newseum.org)

If you go to see Arlington cemetery you will also see the Pentagon and the Air Force memorial.

Lincoln, WWII, Vietnam, and Korean memorials, Washington monument, and Jefferson are all linked on the Mall (reflecting pool). You can walk to all of them at once.

not sure what the udvar is...

but there are 2 air and space musuems FYI. one is in dulles by the international airport. THIS I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. It has 2-3 large hangers FULL of airplanes...along with a space shuttle and SR71 blackbird.

DUUUUDDEEEE you all missed out, there was a freakin police chase on the beltway as I was heading back!!! It was awesome!!! Like 8 cop cars chasing a honda doing like 100. Sucks for the honda too cause they weren't pulling on the cops at all and as I was exiting the beltway a lot more cops were getting on

HOT PURSUIT YEAH!!!

Hopefully they don't injure someone though
