2009TSX

Hey Gang -
I recently purchased my 09 TSX w/ Tech back in July. Being that I'm just shy of my first 1,000 miles I figured I would share my thoughts and experiences w/ the car so far.
FIT AND FINISH
My car has come virtually flawless (knock on wood) from the dealer. Everything is working and running as it should. The leather is very nice, the seats are supportive and comfy. And although, I see where people are coming from who don't like the fake plastic aluminum look of the interior, it appears to fit with the rest of the design and honestly doesn't bother me.
DRIVING EXPERIENCE
At first, I was really a bit worried about getting a 4cyl on a car that was redesigned to be bigger and heavier -- I have absolutely no regrets! The torque curve comes on quick at lower RPM's and although I haven't really driven the car too hard she still has a good amount of life all the way up near redline.
The ride is very smooth and although it can be a bit jarring over some of the bigger bumps, I continue to push her harder and harder thru the corners and she handles them like a champ!
MPG's
On cruise control, on a straight stretch of hwy this car's MPG is absolutely amazing!!! I am consistently over the 30 - 35mpg range according to the MIT. Stop and go city driving has given me an avg. of 24.6mpg (not bad in Los Angeles traffic.)
OTHER CARS I LOOKED AT
I had tried just about everything out there (Mini Cooper Clubman S, VW GLI, Audi A4, Lexus IS250, Chevy Malibu, Honda Accord (4 & 6cy), Honda Civic SI, Toyota Camry, Mazda 6, to name most of them), but I kept coming back to the TSX.
Thats not to say that I wasn't really impressed w/ the A4, but the TSX was at least a good $5,000 cheaper than the A4 once you matched the options apple to apple. And although, I really liked the Accord, the 4cylinder does feel a bit more under powered than the TSX's and to be honest with you I really think the look of the coupe is MUCH better than the sedan, which isn't a problem unless you don't want a coupe.
OVERALL VERDICT
This car has soooo many features, that it is the very first car that I actually read the owners manual from front to back and I still have yet to finish personalizing all my settings!! You can probably get by, by just pushing buttons, but you will only discover half of this cars options.
I occasionally do have a hard time getting the car to dial the correct phone numbers w/ the hands free link -- but, in fairness I have never had another one to compare it to.
After 1 month of driving I can say I am completely thrilled with this car and my choice. And, keep in mind I was absolutely, positively dead set on getting the V6 Accord Coupe before driving the TSX!
Would love to hear some comments and experiences from other 2G owners!
