Does anyone know the offset for the wheels of the 2009 Acura TSX? I'm planning to purchase some rims and tires for the car but unsure of the size I should be looking at. I'm hoping someone has information.

It should be 55mm, same as the 1st Gen. It should also be printed on the back of the wheel.

HoRRo is correct, they are 55mm. I would go with something with an offset between 48 and 43.

18x8.5 +40 with 235/40/18 would be good.

I think +40 is a little excessive and 19"s look better on the 2nd gen than 18"s would. There's a picture on RonJon's website of a 2nd gen with a set of 18" Legends and they look a little too small. That's just me though.
I'm getting a set of the 19"x8" +48 RonJon Legends with 245/35/19 tires. I would have probably liked the offset to be more +43 or so, but nothing a 5mm spacer can't correct down the road. All depends how much clearance I'll have when I decide to get a BBK.

I would think that the 19's might not be the best choice for the sensitive steering of the 2G. Might be getting pulled around a bit if you don't travel on the smoothest of roads.
BUT... that is just a guess.

I think 19"s would be fine. With the right size tire, the overall diameter isn't THAT drastic of a change.

Awesome, now that I know the specifications any recommendations for websites where I can buy black rims for the TSX?

If you haven't checked out tirerack lately, you should. They carry some good rims.
I agree with going 19s, for the size of this car, 18s would look a little strange.
I canceled my order for those work vs-xx. Hunting for new rims now, definitely going 19s and more or less +35 offset.

Why such an aggressive offset?

nothing to it, I just like the look.
if it was remotely possible, I would go VIP on rims with ridiculous lip.
but I've already checked, its impossible LOL

I see that the recommendation people are suggesting is 42mm - 48mm. I found some wheels with 40mm offset. Is this too close or would it be touching when I make turns? Thanks.

if you found a good deal on wheels with +40 offset then i'd say go for it.
