Is there a way you could add a forum search?? Like the google search at the top of the forum?
Isn't there a search function button under the search tab above?

Wow, you never noticed our site search?
I use it all the time -- extremely useful!
If johnej (who's very computer-wise) didn't know about it, I gotta believe a lot of other people don't either.
And if that's so, we probably should do something to make people more aware of it.
P.S. I wonder if the addition of the google search actually might keep people from seeing the site search. This wouldn't apply to johnej, because he was here long before the google search was added.
But I can well imagine that newcomers see that very prominent "Search" which at first blush might appear to be a site search (this is still my "reflex" whenever I see it), but then they realize it's a google search, and it might keep them from looking further to see if there's something else that is indeed a site search.
I've actually wondered about this. It wouldn't mean it's a bad idea to have the google search, but it would indicate that maybe we need to work harder to help people be aware of the site search.
P.S. #2: Off the subj, but.....There's a funny little problem about our google search. Unlike the "usual" google search (at least the one that appears on my screen), the search bar appears only at the top of each page, as opposed to top and bottom. This is just enough of a disadvantage that if I need to do a google search while I'm on the site, I often go to the computer's usual google rather than using the site's google. Sometimes I make a point of using the site's google to help the site, but it's disadvantageous.

Thank you Ray!
Obviously we've been managing fine as it is -- but if it could be better, that would be great.
