Would i be able to get away putting the comptech springs on without upgrading my shocks and getting the rear camber kit? and what about the prokit? Thanks

Are you trying to say, that you only want to fit springs and a camber kit but don't want to change your shocks? If so, yes ... That can be done, in fact I don't see any problems.

well what about with out the camber kit? i know the prokit would case too much neg camber but what about the comptech springs with the 1 inch drop?

You don't exactly need the camber kit in either setup for a strictly road use application. But if you're concerned, yet a camber kit will let you set it up to exactly what you want on camber adjustments.

I just posted in another thread but have some experience worth
sharing.

There is a new comptech part for the TSX, 110-610. I got 1.75"
drop out of these and the camber was rediculous.
I think they just came out 2-3 months when I tried to order
comptech and there was backorder everywhere and then this new
part came out.
The comptechs previously sold for TSX were a TL part and got 1" drop.

Ride is harsher, it will need new shocks.
I have the neuspeed/koni part coming.

I just installed the Ingalls kit today.
The Ingalls comes with two links for camber and toe, appears to
be necessary and the best available. When I adjusted the camber,
significantly, the toe went way out. One affects the other on this
suspension.

All Hondas are generally the same with this characteristic.

The new part number is 110-160. The old one was 110-155. The 155s are probably the only spring that would work on the TSX strut for any length of time before creating problems like bounciness and poor dampening. I've read many posts about horrible ride quality on factory struts with the Pro-Kit, and now with the new Comptech spring-they just compress the factory strut too much.

Factory spec for rear camber is -1.5 max, which is already a lot, and the vast majority of stock TSXs seem to be pushing that number or in some cases, even more. Any lowering spring, even the relatively small drop of the A-Spec spring, around 1", will put you out past factory spec-I'm at -1.7 with A-Spec.

The overall effect of this number is that it will keep the rear planted more firmly when cornering. Your overall grip will be higher front and rear with your new springs, but the tendency will still be towards understeer. If you want to create a more nuetral handling attitude, a rear camber kit would allow you to dial back the rear, to around -1.0 for example.

I doubt you'd see any tire wear problems under -2.0, and if you like the way the car handles, then the really isn't any reason that you have to get the camber kit......

Actually, anything more than negative -1 ... There will be a very clear distinctive tyre wear.

I've polled a bunch of TSX owners on this subject, and while I tend to agree that there should be, the vast majority of respondents reported no inside tire wear, even after 30-40k miles. Some of these people had alignments that showed rear camber at -1.3 or more.

I myself have several thousand miles at -1.7 and perfectly even wear......

In reference to OEM tyres or aftermarket/other compound tyres?
