Since yesterday, whenever I hit the new posts button up top, it says there are no new posts since the last time I visited... But when I look under each forum, I see new posts today... Anyone else having this issue?

Works fine for me too. :donno:

Larchmont, who usually is the only one having a problem like that.

Sounds like it's acting as though you just logged out before hitting that button.

Larchmont, who has no idea what he's talking about. :D

Operator error???
I think it might have been the way I opened up the page or something.... :donno:

That or it might be because I haven't restarted my computer in a couple of months :D

Do a "Mark Forums Read" before you logoff. That way, it'll ensure everytime you refresh "New Posts". Everything comes up. Something to do with browser settings, I sometime access this site from other locations and I had that problem as well. But by doing the above, I no longer have any problems.

hmmm....I acess the site from work as well and never had this problem before... But I only experienced it when I opened up this page from a bookmark inside of a folder in my browser...

I've never used the "Mark Forums Read" feature before...I'll have to try it out. :)

Provided that I log out, I never have to "Mark Forums Read" to get the New Posts to work properly.

I would think that either/or should work.

delete your cookies ones in a while....

larch, the browser you (and all of ) us use keeps a cookie. This cookie is a trail as to where you have been. It is history of all the sites. If you use Safari you can go to the following Safari, Preferences or Apple , and then security, at this panel, you should see a button that says show cookies. It will bring up a list of the cookies from sites that you have navigated to, or cookies from other sites with links to that particular site. Like this site, it sets a cookie (believe it does) and everytime you come to this site with the cookie set, you don't have to log in....

IE uses cookies also as does navigator, I just know Safari the best as that is what I use on my powerbook

Questions???
